Okay, I finally ended up watching Superman/Batman: Public Enemies, but did anyone else feel the ending was missing something?

Something like...

This?

Consider yourself... At home.
Consider yourself... Party of the family.
We've taken to you so strong,
It's clear we're going to get along.

Yes! As long as the huge dance number is involved.

I think Superman/Batman: Public Enemies was missing something from start to finish:

Good writing.

Well, Loeb wrote it. What do you expect, these days.

That's like wanting Liefeld to draw realistically or with good proportions

DC bit off more than it could chew with the whole "Luthor is president" theme. It should have been what Osborn has done with "Dark Reign". DC just didn't have the balls. That said any animation that Has Pee-Gee in it is something I will download.:)

CSI: Metropolis!

You know, having watched Public Enemies (more over my shoulder while working at my video store), I thought it was pretty good. The voice acting was awesome, of course and the story wasn't bad, given what they had to work with. They took out a lot of the silly, unneeded stuff (everything with the Kingdom Come Superman lookalike, the Bat & Supes families, etc) and it felt more focused as a result.

True, it still had the Supes/Bats composite giant robot, but aside from that, it wasn't that bad. The action sequences alone are worth the price of admission.

It's nowhere near as good as the previous DC animated movies, but I'd still say it's worth checking out.

While I did read the original storyline awhile ago, I mostly forgot it, so It kind of sucks when you see all those cool bad guys storming into view and then they don't get to do anything. And Batman taking Bane out in two seconds?

If there was a CSI Gotham with various bat-folks being all sleuthy, I'd totally read/watch it.

I'm hoping for an Adaptation of BATMAN/SUPERMAN: VENGEANCE, just because they can go berserk with Pre-Crisis and Post-Crisis references and Easter Eggs. Also, I really would like to hear Mark Hamil deliver the following line:

"Before the night is over... I'm going to kill every Batman that ever was and will ever be! And I ain't kidding."

Seriously, it could only have helped that movie.
I watched it and was left with the feeling of "What was that all about, anyway?" And "Didn't this happen in JLU, only more well done?"

Now I've got to revisit that scene.
And for some reason, the slash factor intensified my love for the Conroy/Daly voice tandem.

I know! It was SO slashy. I loved how they stuck Lois in at the very, very end, and she didn't even have any lines. It was like the writers realized how slashy it was, got scared that some children's film watchdog organizations would take notice, and decided that they'd better include a heterosexual reference. It was such an afterthought.
