Thus the famous prison in Limbo is created. I would that thought the JLA/JSA could have funded their yearly get togethers at cool spas or resorts if they made a webcam site of the CSA in the green globe , and how they get along, used the bathroom or hooked up .

The discussion over where to imprison the Crime Syndicate is pretty funny out of context. Makes it look like the Justice League is super soft on crime.

Fight scenes were a lot more fun back then. I love the one-upsmanship between Dr. Fate and Power Ring -- it's like a more energetic version of Dream's duel with Choronzon in that issue of Sandman: "I am a mosquito!" "Oh yeah? Well I'm a mosquito NET! Ha! Top that!"

A few things come to mind when I look at how they were imprisoned. Food, water, having to take a pee or a crap, stuff like that. I mean, it's not the Phantom Zone. So my assumption is that Ultraman would end up eating them all.

The cell is composed of GL energy and Dr Fate magic, and is located in a dimensional void.... I can imagine a temporal suspension spell component.

twice when the prison/CSA members were discovered (the first time in SSoSV) they were seen moving about and calling to the people to free them.

Same is true for the Phantom Zone residents, just because they were mobile doesn't mean they weren't under a spell which removed their need to eat of take a dump.

Gardner Fox had a mind like a steel box. I don't think anyone was quite able to fathom where he got the stuff he wrote into his stories or how his logic worked at times.

I mean, a giant telepathic starfish comes down to enslave humanity! What can stop his mental domination? ...why, lime of course!

One of the other early JLA-JSA teamups also has that story where the evil Earth-1 Johnny Thunder steals the Thunderbolts and has it remake reality with criminals gaining the powers of the JLA. That one makes my brain hurt.
