However... at least they still worry about each other? I dunno.





And thus began (or continued) the trend of Carol and Wanda going for the same men. Vision, Wonderman.... yeah.

I used to wonder if Rogue would ever become romantically involved with Wonder Man, as she couldn't absorb ionic energy. Then, decades later, Ms. Marvel gets involved with Wonder Man. Wild.

I found this subplot moderately interesting through the series, though it never really went anywhere.

I didn't really care for it - him asking her out is really awkward (what's Wanda going to do, say "no I'm not comfortable with one of my friends dating you" right there in front of the entire Avengers team?) in a way that never really gets dealt with. It seems like we're just meant to take Wanda's statement there at face value. And Carol's "oh hey suddenly I'm intrigued" just feels kind of arbitrary - I guess they shared some interesting moments off-panel?

I wonder if that's just me, though, because thinking about it now I can't recall a single canon Carol romance I've found at all interesting, and only one I've even found particularly convincing.

I thought something interesting could have been done with it, but, frankly, Busiek's strength in this particular run wasn't characterization. I agree there never was much insight into what she saw in him.

As for Carol romances, I liked her and Simon.

Wow, I haven't read Marvel in like twenty years. Wanda is my favorite Avenger and back then I found her marrying Vision rather strange, so I'm not too hung up that they split up (when was that anyway?).

I don't like her costume here though. Why does she wear a collar and what's with that harem girl belt?
