Previews for next week's Marvel stuff is up, including Incredible Hercules #137 and the finale of Dark Reign: Young Avengers; also included, an unlettered image from the upcoming "Assault on New Olympus" arc.

So apart from the book's main cast (I really want some Amadeus/Kid Zeus interaction), the New and Mighty Avengers each contribute a few members to the group.  Based on the cover for #138, I think Jocasta is doing her traditional tech support thing, which would mean three each from New and Mighty.

Incredible Hercules #137

It's great to have Buchemi stick around for the next arc; he’s been great (arguably the best artist on the series, though he’d have to fight it out with Rafa Sandoval for that title).

I’ll be interested to see what’s up with Maddy. Since this is supposed to lead into “Assault on New Olympus”, it seems possible that she’s somehow important to Hera’s big evil plan, since presumably Dupree abducted her for a reason.

Dark Reign: Young Avengers #5

I was actually sort of hoping for Daken to do his patented Psyche-You-Out-With-Gay-Jokes/Accusations routine and be all "lol u liek boyz" and Bill or Ted going, "Yep."

And then Daken just like, falls over dead or something.

So we'll finally find out who killed Amadeus's parents in iHerc #137? Interesting. I've been trade-waiting on iHerc but I might get the AoNO story in singles since it's only 4 issues.

Oh yeah, do I need to read the "Mighty Thorcules" arc to get what's happening in AoNO? I've only read up to "Love and War" so far and I haven't read the Dark Reign issues so I'm a bit behind.

Go Teddie! I have no idea what the lead up to it was but this is pretty awesome.

I would so not want to be trained by Ares...Seriously. I mean sure, if you survive you probably will be premium 100% bad ass, but the probability of that? Still, I kind of like the notion of a squad trained by Ares himself, it might be really interesting.

Kid Zeus is very like Damian Wayne, isn't he? They're both delinquent child equivalents of the protagonist's father-figure/antagonist.

Of course, Amadeus is smarter than Zeus, so interaction between him and Zeus will go better than between Damian & Tim (where Damian was the intellectual superior).
