I find it somewhat refreshing that the Dark Gods are shadowy cowled figures. I'm so used to Lovecraftian references in this sort of thing that I was quite surprised NOT to see slimy, tentacled Hell-squids in the mirror. It seems that these Dark Gods are more old school than that.

You ever saw that Tomb of Dracula annual or whatever where Claremont and Don Heck had an old one look like an actual old man dressed in supervillain attire? :-)

I love Don Heck, but he couldn't draw Lovecraft if his soul was about to be swallowed!
