Niels part deux.

I'm happy to see that it looks like Trauma will be getting more focus, love the guy.

The return of the cat truly made my day. I also liked when the little kid thanks the Constrictor for saving his Dad.

[identity profile] pyrotwilight.insanejournal.com 2009-10-31 03:31 (UTC)(link)
And gets the awesome prize of making out with Diamondback.

But yes it was amazingly badass of Constrictor to stop a plane by himself. And it was adorable how he didn't want to be seen with them popped out.

[identity profile] volksjager.insanejournal.com 2009-10-31 14:20 (UTC)(link)
Did you get the feeling when the woman with the kid first approached Constrictor, he felt it was going to be some sort of paternity thing ?

[identity profile] pyrotwilight.insanejournal.com 2009-10-31 16:27 (UTC)(link)
Nah, I think he's just unused to getting thanked for his good deeds. Probably thought they were gonna yell at him for being a super type.

[identity profile] manofbats.insanejournal.com 2009-10-31 03:26 (UTC)(link)
Slowly but surely our dear Speedball is coming back to us.

[identity profile] starwolf_oakley.insanejournal.com 2009-10-31 03:41 (UTC)(link)
Has Nightmare done things like this before? I know Nightmare was able to get into the "waking world" in TEMPEST FUGIT, an INCREDIBLE HULK story by Voldemort. Any other examples? I don't know if INITIATIVE has as much "continuity porn" as it did when Dan Slott was writing it.

[identity profile] crinosg.insanejournal.com 2009-10-31 03:49 (UTC)(link)
continuity porn?

Continuity Porn?

Corn?

[identity profile] nezchan.insanejournal.com 2009-10-31 04:44 (UTC)(link)
BEHOLD!

[identity profile] buttler.insanejournal.com 2009-10-31 06:14 (UTC)(link)
What you call corn!

[identity profile] khamelea.insanejournal.com 2009-10-31 05:19 (UTC)(link)
"TEMPEST FUGIT, an INCREDIBLE HULK story by Voldemort."

By Voldemort?

He Who Shall Not Be Named On Scans_Daily

[identity profile] geoffsebesta.insanejournal.com 2009-10-31 12:13 (UTC)(link)
ha ha ha ha ha

He's gonna love that one.

[identity profile] cainofdreaming.insanejournal.com 2009-10-31 11:22 (UTC)(link)
Yeah, he did go to Earth on his own mini-series (http://img407.imageshack.us/img407/5733/nigthmare.jpg) (aptly named Nightmare). Though in the light of that mini the scene in Initiative seems kind of weird, since it wasn't really any kind of accomplishment for him to get to Earth, he just hadn't done it before because he'd have had to leave his realm practically defenseless.

[identity profile] arilou_skiff.insanejournal.com 2009-10-31 14:26 (UTC)(link)
On the other hand, in that series he didn't have his Phenomenal Cosmic Powers, did he? At least not in the beginning.

Oh, and that series is pure A-grade crack, btw.

Will Niels still get to be a member of the Pet Avengers? Or will this mean the return of P-Cat, the Penitent Puss?

[identity profile] rzerox21xx.insanejournal.com 2009-10-31 04:28 (UTC)(link)
I honestly hoped they won't kill that cat just for shock value just to show how dark gritty this dark reign is. I love cats and I remember how turn off I was with the Punisher issue when Jigsaw force his son to drown kittens.

[identity profile] geoffsebesta.insanejournal.com 2009-10-31 12:22 (UTC)(link)
This writer won't but the next one will.

That's comics.

[identity profile] lieut_kettch.insanejournal.com 2009-10-31 14:20 (UTC)(link)
Anyone who kills the cat must deal with the wrath of THROG, FROG OF THUNDER!

[identity profile] mullon.insanejournal.com 2009-10-31 04:44 (UTC)(link)
Oh thank God, I thought something bad was going to happen to the cat. Unless the cat is Nightmare, I can't tell.

[identity profile] darkblade.insanejournal.com 2009-10-31 04:47 (UTC)(link)
No Trauma turned into Nightmare.

[identity profile] menagerie.insanejournal.com 2009-10-31 05:26 (UTC)(link)
I was wondering if Trauma and Nightmare were somehow related. And now we know.

[identity profile] akodo_rokku.insanejournal.com 2009-10-31 06:32 (UTC)(link)
It was revealed a while back that Nightmare is Trauma's father.

[identity profile] proteus_lives.insanejournal.com 2009-10-31 06:53 (UTC)(link)
I like this series.

[identity profile] lieut_kettch.insanejournal.com 2009-10-31 06:54 (UTC)(link)
Is that the real Niels? Fresh from his stint with the Pet Avengers?

(Anonymous) 2009-10-31 07:01 (UTC)(link)
I think that the glowing it does in that last panel indicates that he is.

I can't help wonder just how on Earth Trauma managed to learn about him, find him and bring him in. Last we saw he was just a street cat in NYC beating up Ms. Lion. And before that he was P-Cat.

[identity profile] lots42.insanejournal.com 2009-10-31 09:28 (UTC)(link)
Ms. Lion is canon? Awesome.

[identity profile] lieut_kettch.insanejournal.com 2009-10-31 14:14 (UTC)(link)
Knowing Neils, he probably went to Initiative HQ himself and cozied up to Trauma.

[identity profile] lots42.insanejournal.com 2009-10-31 09:27 (UTC)(link)
I was scared he was going to hug the kitty too hard and then kitty don't move no more.

Because of the spikes.

[identity profile] icon_uk.insanejournal.com 2009-10-31 13:56 (UTC)(link)
Yes, I was sort of worried for that too!

This can't be good.

[identity profile] roguefankc.insanejournal.com 2009-10-31 17:45 (UTC)(link)
This may be the thing that brings the Resistance and the Initiative to team up temporarily, especially if Nightmare warps this reality.

And I have to smirk at the Resistance being the "enemy". Ironic and all, but I would have to ask people like Gauntlet and Justice how does it feel being on the other side after supporting the Registration Act?
