Batman and the Outsiders: When Ollie Met Cass

AKA, Cass has actual friends!... Who aren't Conner, Steph or Babs!






Hypocritically, Ollie has murdered people in the past, and he wasn't under mind control at the time, like Cass was revealled to be. Though his particular beef with the LoA is caused by Merlyn's attempt on his life during Infinite Crisis and their attempt to kidnap Dinah's adopted daughter, Sin.

Though he responded to the latter by kidnapping her himself, faking her death and let Dinah think that Sin was dead for seveal days before revealling that she was now living in a remote abbey that Dinah isn't allowed to see.

Later on Ollie attempts again to outright murder Cass when her new friends Katana and Metamorpho aren't around, though I'm afraid I don't have scans at the moment due to loosing the issue amongst my stacks. XP

I do have this kind of creepy photoshop though.


As far as I can remember (it's been a while) Ollie didn't mack on Cass in, what looks like, an unwelcome way, during 'Batman and the Outsiders', he just resorted to the aforementioned attempted murder and making unpleasant comments about her instead.

Exactly.

Though in this series Ollie reacted to Batman's apparent death in RIP by raiding Bruce's wine cellar, so he's generally kind of an asshole here. That and the vaguely homophobic comments he made at Grace Choi, though I cant' remember what they were.

IIRC he implied she wanted him, and accused her of maybe being into men after all.

Which is stupid, because Grace is bi, and loudly bi, and has always been bi, and was in fact shagging Ollie's son when we first met her.

And doubly stupid because it's been implied that Grace slept with Ollie at least once prior to our meeting her.

During Outsiders. I think that he implied he'd slept with Huntress as well. That or she did.

Which I guess means that Helena just needs to get Connor and she's completed the set.

I took it for granted that that whole conversation was meant to be read with Grace's Arrow-Checklist* taken into account. They had hot sex once or twice a while ago, Grace has surprised everyone by getting a steady significant other, Ollie's poking at her, trying to be funny, saying hey, I bet you'd secretly like to have sex with me! Because we all know how reticent and repressed you are about it, when you want to have sex with someone! Also you'd never admit to liking to have sex with men!

Although I guess the odds that the writer was expecting everyone to have read and remember one conversation from Outsiders #whatever are sort of low. I'm fanoning it in anyway, it honestly sounds a lot more natural to me.
