Hypocritically, Ollie has murdered people in the past, and he wasn't under mind control at the time, like Cass was revealled to be. Though his particular beef with the LoA is caused by Merlyn's attempt on his life during Infinite Crisis and their attempt to kidnap Dinah's adopted daughter, Sin.

Though he responded to the latter by kidnapping her himself, faking her death and let Dinah think that Sin was dead for seveal days before revealling that she was now living in a remote abbey that Dinah isn't allowed to see.

Later on Ollie attempts again to outright murder Cass when her new friends Katana and Metamorpho aren't around, though I'm afraid I don't have scans at the moment due to loosing the issue amongst my stacks. XP

I do have this kind of creepy photoshop though.

As far as I can remember (it's been a while) Ollie didn't mack on Cass in, what looks like, an unwelcome way, during 'Batman and the Outsiders', he just resorted to the aforementioned attempted murder and making unpleasant comments about her instead.

I've been very perplexed by the way DC has treated Cass. It's like she's become a non-person. Her title has been taken by someone else, she splits for parts unknown (and the last time she did that DC made her evil) and her surrogate mother-figure, Babs doesn't care. Her best friend, Steph, doesn't seem to care. Miller (writer of Bargirl) said in a new interview there will be ONE Cass flashback in the future but aside from that she won't appear in Batgirl AT ALL! Meanwhile on the other hand, her adopted brothers (if DC has kept that Beechan stuff) doesn't even seem to remember she's alive. Dick has sent Steph and Cassie after Tim and even confronted Tim himself but we've never even seen a panel of him wondering about Cass. Tim would probably find his best ally in finding Bruce in a footloose Cass but no on that end too. Alfred, most of all, who's taken to that homicidal brat Damien who's always mouthing off at him, has apparently no thoughts on what "Miss Cassandra" is up to either. And this is the same Alfred who's been shown to do her laundry, re-stock her fridge and even buy her civilian clothes for her in the past (even during the period when Bruce stopped her from being Batgirl and set her up in her own apartment). Even Damien, who has a connection to her with the League of Assassins in the background is not even curious about his "sister".Not to mention the fact there's been no mention on how exactly Cass is living/surviving. I'd say there's a 99% chance Bruce left her a fortune in his will and yet its Dick, Damien and Tim who we see with all the new expensive Bat-toys.

Let's face it, judging by the way DC is holding their cards close to the vest, I'd say that the "Search for Bruce Wayne" starts in earnest after Blackest Night and if Cass is not part of it, it's a red flag she's being written out of the Bat-books as a major player despite being closer to Bruce Wayne than Babs or the new Batgirl (even if Steph was a former Robin, she didn't know about Bruce Wayne or Matches Malone). If the last Beechan Batgirl story stands she is the adopted daughter of Bruce Wayne, she is literally his family while every other female in the DCU is not.

I have a sneaking suspicion that whatever DC is planning with Cass has little to do with Batman and more to do with someone like Connor Hawke who Didio said DC also has "big plans" for in 2010.

That should be "Batgirl" not "Bargirl". Sorry. "Bargirl" is what Cass will become when DC is finished with her. She'll have to drink her troubles away and pretend it all never happened.

VERY good point. All the more reason for her to rejoin Outsiders with Alfred leading it.

And yeah, I'm pretty sure when they set her up with that apartment, they gave her a big whopping bank account or unlimited credit card or something. But I could see her forgetting/ignoring her access to that money, and just surviving on her own. She was, after all, homeless and wandering the world from about age 7 to age 17, so she can survive on her own if it comes down to that.

That does bug me. By including Babs in the story as a former Batgirl, they should include Cass as well (as a former Batgirl by default, but also due to her relationships with Babs and Steph).

Well, I wouldn't say no to a team-up with those two, but my sense is that those are two characters about which they have equally little ideas about what to do with them.
