My first post at Scans Daily 1.0 was Ninja Turtles. My first post to Scans Daily IJ was Ninja Turtles. I see no reason to break with tradition, particularly when the tradition is awesome. Because what was true then is true now, and shall ever be true: The world needs more ninja turtles.

From Donatello #1, Donatello goes down into the basement to fix the water heater and winds up meeting the new tenant April's been talking about. You might find him kinda familiar.

This story got adapted into a picture book; I remember it from when I was a kid. They changed Kirby to a black guy, for some reason.

Aw. I have no problem changing the race of characters to be more diverse, but in this case it spoils the homage a bit.

I had a children's storybook that I would later find out was based on this comic. I don't think they changed Kirby's race, though, but I don't remember for sure.

I recall that book as well. I was too young to get the Kirby reference, but in hindsight, it really was Kirbytech wasn't it.
