From an issue I acquired of something I used to see ads for in DC comics when I was a kid. One of the first comic-strip reprint periodicals.






A challenge: name all the characters in this spread by Wally Wood(originally from MAD, I think).

I'm pretty sure they aren't. Especially the MAD page.

Man, the ink work on pretty much all that is spectacular, especially the Russ Manning Tarzan stuff. That's some serious craftsmanship, right there.

Just for the record, the Modesty Blaise strips are the 2nd page of "The Head Girls", (dailies 7 to 12 of that series) from 1966.

The James Bond strips are from "On Her Majesty's Secret Service".
