Date: 2009-11-19 03:21 pm (UTC)I thought that was just Hulk's thing, and only because of Banner's effed up childhood.
Ah well, anything to make powersets more cookie cutter I suppose.

Date: 2009-11-19 04:25 pm (UTC)The fact that "everybody has the rage" is something new, I believe - although apparently the Doc has stated his theory before that, "gamma mutation is largely determined by the subject's deepest sense of self". (source: wikipedia)
*shrugs* I dunno.
And we're supposed to feel sorry for Samson?
Date: 2009-11-19 04:27 pm (UTC)So he now has a evil half of his psyche and is now declared as a wanted man for his attack on the President? Hey Samson, guess what? Bruce goes through the same thing as the Hulk. So why should any sympathy be shown to him?

Date: 2009-11-19 07:30 pm (UTC)Bruce becomes the Hulk when he's angry because he repressed his rage. Jen becomes She-Hulk when she wants to have fun because she repressed her sensuality. And the Leader ... hmmm.

Date: 2009-11-19 11:03 pm (UTC)I can easily buy all of them having rage issues, though I think whatever causes the transformation is just whatever really spikes the adrenaline in the person changing.

Date: 2009-11-19 11:13 pm (UTC)Because you don't need to repress your "Let's have fun!" impulses nearly as much as you do your "Urge to kill ... rising!" impulses. If your strongest emotions are the desire to pound the shit out of people, you NEED to repress those, but if your strongest emotions are simply the desire to have a good time, a lot less repression is required. Bruce's urges made him anti-social, while Jen's made her hyper-social.
