Name: Christian
Blog/Journal/Site: a desolate christianconnor.dreamwidth.org (I only just moved in!)
Location/Country of Origin: Brighton, England
Age: 29
Occupation: Writer / Local government officer

Favourite Writer: Gail Simone, Geoff Johns, Grant Morrison, Alan Moore
Favourite Artist: Francis Manapul, J. G. Jones, George Perez, Phil Jimenez
Favourite Character: Superman since I was a kid, Lois Lane, Superboy, Cassie Sandsmark, COIE and Voldy Supergirls, MJ Watson...
Desert Island Top Ten Comics (series/issues): So difficult! Watchmen and Birds of Prey, and probably Morrison's Doom Patrol. 52. Cable and Deadpool. That's not ten but my brain has turned to shit.
All time favourite panel/page/scene (scans encouraged): Lots of comic scans end up as my wallpaper, but especially Francis Manapul's picture of Conner, Ma Kent and Krypto next to the cornfield. I just gawp at the pretty. Oh and Kon and Cassie making out (by Todd Nauck, in some comic that I don't remember by someone I've never heard of, never ever).
How do you feel about Rob Liefeld? The childish grin on his face makes me think of 1980s australian daytime soaps. And not in a good way.
What's your stance on bees? Bees are my gods ... or some far better pun that I'm too tired to think up. (Earwigs make chutney? Spiders make gravy?)

Other fandoms: Doctor Who, Star Wars, Buffy
Fannish activities: Just tend to watch 'em ... and maybe get a little lost on the Wikis ... and fall in love with Rose and Faith. That's not weird, right? Right?

Political Leaning: Moderately to the left
Favourite Performer: Scott Walker, Billie Holiday, Ian Curtis, PJ Harvey, Nick Cave, Tom Waits, Audrey Hepburn, James Dean, Marilyn Monroe, Scarlett Johansson, James Stewart, David Tennant, Stephen Fry
Favourite Writer (fiction/non fiction): Scott Fitzgerald, Vladimir Nabokov, James Joyce, Georges Bataille, Italo Calvino, Thomas Pynchon
Someone You Admire: I guess anyone named above, except Mr Liefeld

What else are you into? Philosophy, Doctor Who, Shakespeare, Guinness, running

What's one awesome thing you did this year? Managed to get tickets for the penultimate night of the RSC's Hamlet, with a recently returned David Tennant. But the year's not quite finished yet: November is not Nanowrimo for me, but the month I send my manuscript to some prospective agents.
