While I can't say I particularly enjoyed this...this is the kind of risk taking/projects DC should be green lighting (has Solo been collected in trade form?).

Dunno.

Thing is with McCarthy is that while I can't claim to understand what he does a lot of the time, it always looks cool.

Though I must say here, he seems to be using a lot of the easy, garish aspects of Photoshop that beginners do.

If I'd have known how important it would have been to support SOLO, I would have bought two of every issue when they were coming out, and pimped the hell out of it to my customers (back when I worked at the shop).

While I appreciate you've tried to stick to the 1/3 posting rule, please note that the 1/3 applies to a third of a story or chapter from within a collected volume. The Johnny Sorrow story you've posted appears to be complete story, (correct me if I'm wrong) and if so breaks those rules.

It was something different each issue, basically a creator doing what they like for 48 pages. A lot of them just chose to do really interesting versions of DCU stuff, but some were a bit more daring. I particularly like this, the Chaykin one, and the Darwyn Cooke one.
