A Housewarming Party with Barda and Scott
Nov. 22nd, 2009 05:38 amWish I'd remembered this story for our 'housewarming' though that's in the past, so now is as good a time as any for it. From Mister Miracle #26 & #27.

For reference, this takes place following Barda becoming a pro-wrestler(which I'm now realizing I should probably re-post, trimmed down, since it is both awesome and got wiped with s_d 1.0. So, sorta working backwards in posts here).
Anyway, Scott and Shilo arrive back at the Free's place after a very long and sudden JLA-related absence. Big Barda is, a bit rightfully, kinda P.O.'d.

Told you that story is awesome.

Oh Scott, you sure know how to sweet talk 'em.
Unfortunately though, at that moment Fiona, this gal Shilo likes and is kinda? dating(it's at one of those fuzzy stages due to the JLA thing) comes running in looking for Mister Miracle to help her. After some debate both guys take off leaving Barda and co. to get to work on the party arrangements.

As she does, Scott and Shilo run into a few problems.

Moving into the next issue, we find Scott and Shilo have been trapped by the Albanian Noodle creature. Not to worry though, with Big Barda and Highfather only two floors up, they'll be saved, right?

Well, then.
Eventually, their nap finishes up and the party begins.

At some point Scott and Shilo finally figure out how to get free, they are escape artists after all, and start to fight the monster below.

Yep, nothing can stop this party!
Wait?! What's that?!

FFFFFFF...
Yep, the noodle guy turns Scott and Shilo into monsters. Please don't ask for this to make sense, so they fight. And they fight. And they fight some more. Eventually though, Big Barda has just had enough of her party being ruined.

That settled they all go to face the noodle monster and, by convincing him that all the people on Earth are superpowered like them, scare him off. Leaving us for a...

...good end.

Date: 2009-11-22 03:59 pm (UTC)I may never stop giggling over Scott calling himself Barda's "little man". ^^
Second to last panel of that same page reminds me of so many fairy tales 'Oh take me now my hero...'
