The JLElite's First Mission

The team now assembled, Naif al-Sheikh is trying to get to know the superpowered members of the team better. But since his family was murdered by a superhuman he doesn't like them much, and he at least wants to make an effort.
For those interested, this is the first official meeting of "Kasumi" and Green Arrow,
Possible source of Ollie's grudge? Her endangering his moustache?
Anyway, teambuilding with Naif!
The group begins to get ready to go out on their mission, and Dawn calls on her husband, Raven, but finds that he's getting drawn more and more into his magical work,
So a gay joke and a period joke within a couple of pages of each other? Classy, Major Disaster.
I am curious as to how Kasumi saved Vera's life. Also here begins Ollie setting off Dawn's underpants proximity alarm.
Anyway, on with the mission.
Kasumi and disguised Vera going with the mercenary group the Blood Brothersto a South East Asian country called Changsha, in order to arrest a superterrorist who killed hundreds of people in a resort island some months perviously.
While they're there, they meet the fifth member of the Blood Brothers group, Wolfwood, who talks at length about how he likes to eat his victims.
The Blood Brothers outline their plan,
SladeVera goes off with Wolfwood, and Kasumi goes off with the non-deathfetish one. While this goes on, the JLElite begin to close in on the mercs.
Vera's plan appears to be going well, with her and Kasumi "hogging" the kills by knocking the soldiers out with nonlethal means such as temporary strokes and nerve strikes. Unfortunately, it seems that Wolfwood has seen through her disguise and attacks her, revealling that he's a werewolf.
Next issue, Kasumi and the talky Blood Brother catch up with the terrorist both the Blood Brothers and JLElite are after.
Kasumi is saved by a combination of Coldcast and Menagerie, the bombs are defused by the Flash, the terrorist is arrested by the JLElite and all is put right with the world. Except Wolfwood ran off in the middle of a fight when Vera's system knocked itself off mysteriously...
Unfortunately, the team run into a political snag, as the president of the country likes having a supervillain terrorist around the place as it keeps the neighbours out.
Vera blacks out momentarily, but when she comes to she hears a crash of thunder, and then the worst possible thing has happened,
The president has been murdered, right after Vera promised the JLA and Naif promised the world's most powerful men that they wouldn't kill anyone!
*dramatic music*
