Yeah, he's one of those authors who I really enjoy reading... until his... common themes... start to pop up in his stories.

No, they wouldn't have bothered aging her a bit in Japan. :p

She appears to be noticeably taller than in the first pages. She's barely half the height than this Cossack fellow in the first page, but in that last one, her body proportions are different, which make her look taller.

That's what it looks like to me anyway.

I just thought that was a weird perspective. You might be right but he didn't age her up enough for that not to be of questionable legality.

Look again: the upper swell of her right breast is clearly visible both in the line art and the colouring, and you can see the top of her left breast as well as the purple standing a finger's width proud of her chest.

Like I said, I think Claremont's fine but sometimes... yeah. >_>

and Psylocke? Was Claremont around then when she became Kwannon? But yeah, when his women become evil, they tend to amp up their power and it's always expressed in some sort of revealing get up, aka their ~sexuality~

You say that like "evil=revealing outfits" is somehow restricted to Claremont.

Also, really young doesn't really have to mean "little kids". I think Kitty was 13 or 14...

Female superheroes being possessed/turning evil (often in skimpy, bondage-related outfits) has been a theme of Claremont's work since at least the Dark Phoenix Saga. He's done it with Jean Grey, Storm, Madelyne Pryor, Polaris, Karma, Kitty Pryde and Magik, and I think Rachel Summers too.
