The Leader is on trial on very supervillaining charges, and is using the excuse that gamma radiation-induced mutation causes your judgement to be eroded.
It does appear to hold some water, as otherwise it implies that Brucewas going around smashing tanks and stuff on purpose.
Anyway, Jenny is called to the stand, leading to the dodgiest invasion of privacy in a courtroom since that lawyer revealled Veronica Mar's confidential health records on court TV.

Hm, I know that this kinda makes sense to reveal, plus it does enforce the Leader's defence, but isn't that against the rules to go into that much detail into someone's sex life?

Date: 2009-12-01 01:44 pm (UTC)No, I have pondered this since decades ago. In fact, I figure it as part of the reason why (at least in my own case), certain distasteful fetichistic tendencies can develop that go against what are the otherwise prevalent ethical and moral principles. Comics perpetuate a recipe of frustration by presenting ridiculously oversexualized depictions of women while at the same time desexualizing their behavior in equal but opposite measure. Thus, the reader is made to feel guilty about even harboring "inpure" thoughts about the perfect, chaste character. Frustration breeds perversion, so such guilt may lead to deviant ideas (or online communities) as the fanboy lust for fanservice wars against his desire for consistent characterization.
I am not using this as excuse for (my own) censurable kinks, but as an explanation of why some of us may become sick f**ks. Its pretty sad, really.
