So apparently Bendis didn't get the memo about the Supreme Intelligence being killed a couple years ago, had his soul absorbed by Wraith and the Inhumans now ruling the Kree. That's aside from the fact that the Supreme Intelligence shouldn't know who the hell Noh-Varr is since he's from another universe and was in prison until after his death.

That's what I was thinking. Noh-Varr is from another universe, and IIRC, his "Supreme Intelligence" was his ship's computer.

1) I don't give a shit about the SI having died(CAN it die, really?), glad it's here, and frankly I'm surprised they're only now getting around to doing this with Noh-Varr. That being said:

Though I know it won't be the case, I really REALLY hope that last page is what the future status quo of Captain America will be. Bucky in the suit has been far too awesome to just walk away from.

As good as a lot of the storytelling has been with Bucky in the suit, I really kind of want him to have his own thing, much like Dick Grayson, whom I hope becomes Nightwing again. With Cap, there's the added deal that I'm just invested enough in the idea of that suit representing American ideals that I don't like it being darkened permanently. I can accept that Cap killed during WWII, but I don't want a Cap who routinely wields guns in the modern day.

No matter how well his character is written, America should not be the backstory of Jason Bourne with a Cable-style robot arm and a grim-and-gritty attitude.

I see Bendis' mistake.

In the back matter, he describes Noh-Varr as an alien take on Peter Parker, who has to learn to become responsible.

But he wasn't designed to be such. He's an alien take on NAMOR, who's only responsible when it suits him. :D

And if they wanted a Kree-style costume, why not use one of the Genis redesigns? That HoM costume was cool...

I'm probably behind the times but I thought that Red Skull put himself into Steve's body the last time I checked. So how is that *truly* Steve Rogers?

As happy as I am, I'm agreeing that Bucky should stay as Cap for a while. He's proven that he can carry the mantle, and Steve needs to sort out his issues first with Tony, Reed, and all the other Pro-Reg heroes first or else it's not going to be very comfortable to be working alongside them again ASAP.
