Doesn't make a compelling case for lesbianism, though. "Hah! I'm making you wait! You'll miss aaaaaall the trains!"

"Hah! The joke's on you! I didn't put colegne in my hair before setting it, so now it smells like a dead badger!"

Why??

I know there are so many things wrong with this scan I mean don't ever tell me it's my fault a bus is late (the bus is like an hour late here) but why would you wear blue shoes with a red dress?? Why?? It seem golden-age romance comics were the set up for the Twilight books:
1) Let the man dicate your life; it's really okay
2) Dress like a clown; appearence doesn't matter even after you spent all day getting ready...

Every time I see the word "mansplain," I first read it as "mansprain," and then I picture an army of hapless guys waiting in a long line for trusses and painkillers.

I agree. I don't date either (not because I wouldn't LIKE to, but... well, it's complicated), but I have gotten extremely frustrated with one or another of my female friends for taking about a million years to get herself fit to go out in public, and waiting until the last minute to start doing so. End result? We're late for the movie. And I HATE being late for movies.

I have a friend who enjoys trailers as much as the main feature. He gets so stroppy when he's late for the movies, I tell you. But fair enough, I think.

I don't mind missing the trailers all that much (although they're certainly useful as a guide to upcoming films); it's when I miss part of the actual movie that I start getting grumpy. When I went to see 'Corpse Bride' in the theater with a friend, I missed the first several minutes of it because she'd been futzing around with her hair for about an hour, and, as a result, didn't understand several important plot points until I had a chance to watch it on DVD a number of months later. It's AMAZING what a difference five minutes or so of plot can make to ones overall comprehension of a film. When I go to see a movie, I want to see the whole thing, dammit.
