Riffing on Kong, for Christmas!

Okay, I already let out a cursory squeal of joy at seeing "S. Simeon" on a mailbox Wally was making a drop at, in the DC Holiday special, but this took the joygasm to a whole other level.

I may very well have to revive that string of posts I made on the LJ S_D about the 4-issue mini Foglio did.

I hope you do revive those posts. I really liked that mini.

I love Angel and the Ape. It's comic book purity, is what it is. It's awesomely goofy (a gorilla detective and a chick sidekick!) and kind of sweet. Neat all aronud. :D

Exactly! Comic book purity.

There's nowhere else where this could play out as a totally awesome idea. In comics, it works.

(On a totally random note, I would really love to see an episode of Batman: The Brave and the Bold where he teams up with Angel and Sam.)

Oooh, I would LOVE to see that.

With a INferior Five cameo, too!

So who else thinks these two should be added to the DCAU continuity?

Couldn't Sam just have telepathically compelled the guy to make a donation? He IS Grodd's grandson, after all. Though I guess the official explanation would be "he uses up most of his psychic energy maintaining the illusion that he's human."

Awww, sweet! And the way it ends reminds me of those Hostess Fruit Pie ads.
