I love that Marvel takes the steps to both give their heroes' powers goofy-sounding names to try to make them sound more sciencey, and that they go to the lengths to tell you that superpowers burn gobs of calories.

I don't think DC does that. I think DC just kind of goes "Uh, yeah. ... Alien/supertech/magic! That's it!"
