Holiday times aren't over yet!
Dec. 24th, 2009 02:27 amWhew, three posts in one day! And here I was only going to post festive stories until holiday times were through, but I guess I'll always make exceptions for Vic.
I'm running a little short on material as we get closer to X-mas, and even shorter on time tonight, so there's only one story here. I almost included a Superman/Santa Claus team-up reprinted in Christmas with the Super-Heroes #1 (originally from DC Comics Presents #67) since I haven't posted anything from that yet, but it's full-length and it's getting late tonight.
So instead,
We've got one last story from the Infinite Holiday Special (2006), "Father Christmas", written by Ian Boothby and with art by Giuseppe Camuncoli and Lorenzo Ruggiero. Three and a third pages from ten.
Bart's hanging around his place in LA while Jay and Joan try to talk him into pending X-mas with them in Keystone.

The story continues with some introspection and angst that are completely uncharacteristic of Bart, so we'll skip them. Suffice to say, he decides to go for a walk and runs into some weather weirdness. He tracks it down to a guy with a replica of Weather Wizard's wand, but stops short of punching the guy's lights out when he sees his son watching.

He offers to put them up in a hotel he rescued from a fire a while back, but that being no way to spend X-mas, he takes them somewhere else first.

A first edition? What is this, a Greg Rucka story? (it is totally worth noting this story is from the same issue as "Lights", which creates a weird gift-giving parallel between them)
Tomorrow: The secret origin of Santa Claus! Plus, a parade of covers to make tracking the stories you've seen here over holiday times easier to track down for yourself!
