Pish tosh. Long as Guy keeps that Ring on, the more of a fighting chance they all have against the BLs.

Yeah, I was thinking that myself actually.

Yeah, but the longer Guy stays a Red Lantern, the more likely it is he'll snap completely.

I'm actually hoping for Guy controlling the ring. I mean, we've at least seen Atrocitus doing it. Someone else might doing it as well

He does still have both rings on. Which I just realized equals Christmas colors.

Darnit. I was hoping Kyle was going to pull out Ice as his secret weapon to de-red-lanternize Guy. Oh well.

Makes sense--Kyle was the reason why Guy snapped, it would mean transporting from that planet, to Earth, and back, and there's a good chance that at that moment she is one of the Black Lanterns as well.

The Star Sapphire that was on the planet was called to Kyle and the girl he's with who's name I don't remember and made "their hearts as one. Basically, he's running on her heart.

You don't need money. Don't need fame. Don't need no credit card to ride this train. It's strong and it's sudden and it's cruel sometimes. But it might just save your life.

Being used to share life force at least, which isn't so bad.

Wait so if Kyle's living off her heart, and Kyle's girlfriends have a track record for dying...

This does not bode well at all.

Soranik is more badass then Kyle I have faith. Plus its Christmas, we collectively as comics lovers are due for a stable and surviving Kyle romance and I would buy this book for years if they kept Soranik and Kyle together.

I don't think it's literally their hearts combined. I think that was just the Star Saphire' melodramatics, and she was just able to use Soranik's love to restart Kyle's heart. It's like when Walker and Warth, the Blue Lanterns, used the people of a planet's hope to de-age it's sun. The non Green rings seem to be able to channel their emotions directly with more powerful effects.

Makes sense. Green is in the middle of the spectrum, and seems to represent equanimity (because for fuck's sake, willpower is NOT and emotion).

Soranik's fortunately a toughie :)

I think, even if he's running on shared lifeforce to get going, it's not an indefinite thing either.

Yeah, Kyle died for a few minutes (and I for one LOVED Guy's desperation at that moment. He was literally fighting against the Ring from leaving, trying to force the thing to stay put so that Kyle would wake up and take it back. I tell you what, if I didn't ship Kyle/Guy before, I'm thinking about it now).

But the Star Sapphire basically used Soranik's love to jump-start his heart and revive him.

Honestly, I didn't care how it would be done. But Kyle's alive. Phew. That's all that matters, damn it.

But yeah, Guy as a Red Lantern was kinda scary. My favourite moment was him tearing Kryb's arm off and choking her with it by shoving it down her throat. If we see Kryb again, it probably won't be for a while. But then this week was a lot of awesome BN moments. See Bizarro dealing with Black Lanternised Solomon Grundy, for one. There's a way to deal with your superpowered zombies.

Oh and hell yeah, I wanna see Mogo kick some ass next issue. I'm been so glad I've been following "Green Lantern Corps" for the duration of the BN event. It hasn't been cheap, but it's been so ridiculously entertaining that I don't care.

Kryb's yellow ring should by flying off and going to Guy right then cause he's got to be inspiring a hell of a lot of fear.

Johns has established that Mogo died eventually and the GL corps was shattered. It didn't happen in SINESTRO CORPS WAR as was assumed, but it would appear that this is another obvious opportunity. Another thing to remember: the oath Sodam Yat recited when he returned in the 30th century is a combination of all the oaths.

I have to ask, have they ever explained how Mogo doesn't destroy planets by basically moving around them with his Gravity?

The GL power? It lets users defy the laws of physics in other manners, so why not in this manner as well?

It was said clearly in the very first Mogo story that "Mogo Doesn't Socialize" because his gravity would tear Oa apart. And everything in the Moore stories is treated as canon now. (making me hopeful for the F-Sharp Bell returning--what could HE do to BLs? More on that below) Maybe I'd overlook that if it weren't something that had been explained and accepted all this time, but they'd better have a good explanation. Because he's had the GL power all along, after all, not just now, so why never before? And what happens to his solar system if he leaves? Gravity tends to be an interdependent thing. If Jupiter suddenly veered off into outer space, what would happen to the orbits of all the other planets?

Then again, of course I don't expect comics writers to even know as much about physics or astronomy as I do. All my pitifully small knowledge having been gained, however, by fairly popular mainstream books and TV, by the way, not through any special study.

And why I think the F-Sharp Bell should appear: his power, though GL-based, has nothing to do with LIGHT.

But that would beg the question, what about all this bullshit Johns is making up about darkness then? What about his complete lack of understanding of what "dark matter" is? (or anyway, what it is NOT, which is that it is NOT an underlying "coral" to the universe) Well, it would tend to make it ridiculous. That particular GL? He lives in a completely lightless sector. (yes, forget that where light is not in the universe, the likelihood of life is small. Or how cold a planet without a sun would be)

Well, as stated in GL:Rebirth, the GL power isn't just light. It's concentrated willpower, or something like that. Maybe preventing his gravity from tearing up Oa takes a lot of willpower, so he's only doing it now because it's an emergency. As for what happened to his own solar system, maybe his doesn't have other planets doesn't have other plantets, and he just orbits a star. Or, he just left a ring construct that could generate the appropriate gravity, like Kyle said could have been done instaed of gathering rocks to replace Pluto in Our Worlds At War.

And about F-sharp Bell, even though his power is different, it still made visible GL constructs. They were just visible green soundwaves, if I remember correctly.

I believe the loss of a sufficiently massive planet can also cause a bit of havoc with its star.

Mogo's small enough that his gravity is similar to Earth's--I doubt his absence would have much of a noticeable effect on the primary star of his system.

Tomar-re did tell Arisia once that Mogo's gravitational field would tear Oa apart. I'm guessing it takes a supreme act of concentration on Mogo's part to contain his gravitational field using his ring-aura, which is why he doesn't do it often.

Also, with all the unused rings from deceased GLs, that could have given him a boost in available power (a larger percentage of the Battery, I suppose) to work with. Enabling him to hit the planet.

Kind of imposing isn't he.

I wonder what would happen if he tapped "that".

That being Oa of course.

Kind of reminds me of an issue of those Star Wars Infinity issues(basically What If's) where the Emperor is winning and the first DS is not blown up. Yoda instead of dying goes to the DS, makes Tarkin fire it on some ships and then damn well DROPS it onto Courscant just to kill the Emperor.

That's one hardcore genocidal little Jedi.
