I can't help but notice, when Blackest Night started, everyone was one color only when viewed through BL-Vision. But now everyone is starting to look like rainbow-stripe gum.

Not everyone. Just some people tend to feel one emotion so strongly that it overrides the others.

Which makes sense and all, but I'm seeing a rise in the number of people we see showing multiple emotions.

The first person I remember seeing multiple colors on was Superman (and Superboy), which lead to some people saying he was going to end up being Captain-All-The-Rings, but now it seems like most people are showing multiple emotions.

I think it's not so much people feeling multiple emotions, I think they're trying to find some way to convey the rapidly changing emotional state that events are putting the characters in.

Am I the only one who still misses Damage before he got scarred and grimdark?

Before the scarring but after Young Justice. I really liked him as one of the rare 'non-franchise' legacy heroes and even though he was chosen to go all grimdark I still wish they would have found more use for him other than cannon fodder.

There really aren't enough heroes who overcome extreme disfigurement. Extreme disability/difference maybe (Cyborg, the Doom Patrol, the poster X-Men), but very rarely disfigurement.

There's the Thing and maybe Ghost Rider if he's feeling emo, but what other heroes out there don't let literal scars make them Ax Crazy?

Damage isn't in the same vain? o_o

He just sounds like a sub-par version of the "Blood" and "Death" heroes only instead of shedding blood or killing people he just breaks your stuff.

. . .

Never on purpose. He actually had feelings, unlike the "Blood" and "Death" guys.

Close, but I mean a genuine hero in the vein of Superman or Captain America; not an anti-hero who does the right thing on occasion if it suits him or he feels like it.

The Thing is really the only hero I can think of who truly has a disfigurement, and even with him it's not as debilitating as being a burn victim because he's effectively mutated into his own kind-of subspecies that you can get used to through repeated exposure.

It just seems like too easy a storytelling convention to portray the disfigured hero who overcomes his/her stigma in order to do the right thing to have never been done before.

Is Karen referring to Kal-L when she says 'my Uncle'? Shouldn't that be 'cousin'?

Also, really really hate the way Eddy Barrows draws lips.

They look fine to me.

Also Pre-Crisis Supes basically raised Peeg and is basically a father figure to her so I can see her calling him Uncle with Zor-El being her real dad.

I should clarify. I mean women's lips. Men's look ok. I remember noticing this back when I first saw his work on 52. Don't mind his art in general, but the lips just look weird - best example is the profile shot of PG crying in the first scan. Her lips, blech.

I don't agree, but that's perhaps the modern era media totally messing up my perception of women's lips with the duck lip qualities of Botox, but I have to give you kudos for being the first ever person I can recall commenting on PG's physical attributes and focusing on her lips!

I've figured out what the problem is, because her lips looked very wrong to me, too.

The bottom lip doesn't taper. It looks like she royally screwed up putting her lipstick on.

Zor-L! Learn to Multiverse! XP

It did seem odd though, I've heard Lois-2 and Kal-L refer to PG as her daughter so "uncle" seemed kinda awkward but hey.

I could've bought dad, but her saying Uncle was weird. But whatever, I doubt PG's completely thinking straight with his dead body lying there.

I think she is using 'Uncle' as an alternative to Dad, possibly out of respect for Dad.

Damn mistakes and lack of edit buttons. Please substitute 'Zor-L' for the second 'Dad' there.

I noticed that too. Which is annoying because she calls him her cousin a panel or two before.
