I found it interesting with the past year and his financial problems and out of control spending seemed to reveal causes for some of his more awful films. If the check cleared...he was your man.

I think McDowell is more like Christopher Walken, who has publicly stated that he'll work on anything because he considers all his roles to be learning experiences.
