Well, yeah, but polar bears eat seals as a matter of course - it's part of their natural diet. These hunters, presumably, are wiping them out for their skins, which may doom them to extinction.

Ah the brave and noble sport of reverse dinosaur escalator polevault, crown jewel in the Doom Olympics track, field, and shop events.

Wonder Woman is sure to face some tough competition.

Thing I find immensely amusing about the "Olympics of Doom" story (out in Showcase Presents: Wonder Woman #3) is the Martian who ends all of his speeches but one with "as is our custom!"

It's like he constantly had to remind the Duke of Deception of the rules of the Olympics of Doom. "So, Wonder Woman has survived two of the events of the Olympics of Doom! She shall surely not survive a third! But if she survives to the end, we shall free Wonder Woman, as is our custom!"

That's the genius of the thing - he doesn't have to store them anywhere. They're out there ambling around - he just has to pick one up whenever he needs one. It'd be like if you fought crime with cows, and lived in cattle country.

I just love the look on the Polar Bear's face. He's not snarling or scared, just bewildered. Like Aquaman grabbed him when he was asleep and he woke up mid flight and is all like "what the hell?"

Also: they so need to work this into Brave and the Bold somehow.
