SIEGE BLOCKBUSTER TIE-IN!!

This is it: the series finale – and the end of the Initiative as we know it! Learn the fate of your favorite heroes, villains... and those who aren't quite sure what they are, but who are going to have to decide in a hurry!

Who will taste sweet victory? Who will know the agony of defeat? For some this is an end -- for others, a new beginning (which you'll be reading about very soon)! Camp H.A.M.M.E.R. is falling...and The Heroic Age is dawning!

32 PGS./Rated T+ …$2.99

I think that the series replacing the Initiative was announced a few months back. Avengers Academy by Gage and Mckone, don't quote me on that though.

Also apparently there are going to be a number of one shots at the end of Siege. No covers or solicits yet.

Siege: Spider-Man

Oh look it's Ultron and the villains are getting their just desserts a little bit too late for me to care.

It's not my fault they milked Dark Reign until I didn't care anymore. Or that the set up for Siege was boring. Also, Steve's come back was very meh. It should have been a surprise.

No, that's Bucky. Steve's costume doesn't have shoulder-stars.

Strangely enough, when you beat people over the heads with six solid years of shit they don't want, they don't automatically fall all over themselves with gratitude just because you stop.

I never thought I'd hate a decade worse than I did the '90s, but Jesus, the Zeroes was the decade when SATAN took over.

Hard to say what colour that is, but Steve's not going to wear Bucky's costume, so I wouldn't worry.

I'm pretty sure Janet is not as dead as they want us to think. I think Hank and Jan getting remarried would be perfect.

What a huge surprise it would have been too! I mean, besides the big selling comic entitles "Captain America: Reborn" floating around and all.

The worst part of the 00's was John Romita Jr's run on Amazing.

There, I said it.

What I'm saying is that it would be impossible for Steve's come back to be a surprise. Honestly, to me is was pretty awesome anyway.

The prologue to Slott's run was narrated from 2010 by "Jocasta Pym", so I'd bet it's the obvious.

Hm, multiple exclamation marks. You know what Pratchett said about those?

A sign of a diseased mind.

And isn't calling it a blockbuster before it's even been published jumping the gun somewhat?

I wouldn't rate it as the "worst," but even as someone who occasionally liked what JMS did on Amazing Spider-Man, JRjr's art really does not live up to the hype.

He was actually a MUCH better artist in the '80s, when his figures were slightly more cubist, but much more stylized and detailed, versions of what his dad drew, but Jesus, ever since he became King Of The Box People, he's been shit.

Bendis and Hitch is an interesting pairing, creatively. Bendis uses widescreen primarily for characters talking, which, when you consider that Hitch is the guy who basically invented that style of art to show big action, is a contrast.
