Your preview image is a bit on the large side -- please trim, shrink, or put it under the cut as well. Thanks!

Perfect, thanks.

And because I am so fast on the uptake, I just noticed this is actually your piece. I love your visual style!

art looks fantastic - cant' see anything wrong with it really

although I must ask - how do you (or your inker) go about doing predominantly black backgrounds such as the ones on the second to last page?

Oh wow, this is yours? I just figured it was a response to the request for more independent stuff. Great work! I enjoyed that a lot.

And I think you succeeded. I particularly liked the everyday detail, the dreamlike tone (e.g. the baggage handlers' initial nonchalance), and the barest hint of a political subtext.

Can I find more of your stuff anywhere?

To me it seemed to be about the horrors of starvation, poverty and general crappiness in third world countries, and how we who live in the rich world tend to more or less ignore it as long as it stays far away (it's not our job, we have our own problems, etc.).

And if any of it does spill over here (in the form of illegal immigration, terrorism, etc.), we just use force to take care of it.

It's more interesting when expressed as subtext and metaphor, though.

Whoa - pretty interesting. Very, very surreal, and I'm not sure I ever quite UNDERSTOOD it as such, but interesting it certainly was.

Well, if that's what you were trying for, it worked, all right. I mean, it wasn't literally incomprehensible - I could understand what was going on, I just couldn't understand WHY it was going on. (Which, if you ask me, is about as incomprehensible as a story should get, anyway - comics that make no sense from panel to panel are hellish to read.)

It does have sort of a '2001'ish sort of feel about it - you know, where it's obvious that something epic is going on, but you're never quite sure just what it is.
