Avengers vs. Atlas Covers

So, now that all four solicits are out, I made an attempt to put together the entire cover image, only to discover that, surprise surprise, the colors weren't the same on every cover (which I was too lazy to fix), and fully lining up the ink work was next to impossible because of the way the covers had been pieced up and scanned (the first three had to be overlaid on top of each other to even try to make them line up, and then there was a chunk missing between #3 and #4. WTF, guys?).

Still, it didn't come out too horrible. At least we get the full glorious WTF of Ramos.

Why is there a boot coming out of Giant Man's palm.

The art is about halfway between the Marvel Adventures/Bruce Timm style and "adult" comics and doesn't work as either style.

It's supposed to be Jimmy's. The inking on this is crap in that area, so it's hard to tell.

*double takes* Um... so I'm not really liking this art style very much. I think I've seen something vaguely like this art style before in an older Spider-man book, but in there, it somehow managed to look halfway decent. I can't stop staring at Cap's jaw, which looks just like what's-his-face-ape-man's, except with smaller teeth! (And where, dare I ask, did the rest of Namora's shirt escape to?

Namora always has deep cleavage, and I'm fairly unbothered by it because her male counterpart not only wears a similar outfit, but his alternate costume is much skimpier. Also it would not incovenience her in battle because if a boob fell out she would use it as a bludgeoning weapon.

She does kind of look like an alarmed floating torso here, though.

I think that's a combination of gravity/the restriction of her shirt, although honestly I've not spent much time suspended horizontally in a shirt split to the waist, so.

*laughs* Ok, I'm fine with Namora having visible cleavage, given that her male counterpart wears even less. I just think that she looks close to a wardrobe malfunction. Also, her boobs seem to be shaped wrong there for the angle and the distinct lack of shirt... She ~does~ look a bit like a floating torso!

Yeah, she really does look like she's going to fall out any minute! The boobs are a little weird, but I don't know how she keeps them in normally. Maybe they're taped in place.
