It would make more sense than those other "New Guardians," a group that could have had any name really, as there was little sign they had anything to do with the others. I think DC found the green rings embarrassing around then.

Eh, I'm betting it doesn't last long. Hal has zero authority over the Corps. The Alpha Lanterns, Honor Guard, Salaak and Mogo all have more official status than him. Also, I seem to recall the Oans will call Alan Scott before them according to prophecy, and that hasn't happened yet, so they have to come back.

Getting some extra necking time with Linda, I suppose. The Flash Family is all supposed to be showing up in that book now, as opposed to the originally planned Wally West back-ups and Kid Flash on-going...but really, they're going to appear like in the previous Flash on-going, only in moderate appearances and just long enough to help the series headliner (Barry, in this case) recover and save the day.

I don't see Atrocitus and Larfleeze sticking around for very long, though. Neither one plays very well with others.

Also, is Sinestro getting a free pass for all the people he's killed?

I think it's more of a "We need you, so we won't take you in now". thing. It's like a gang banger getting a deal, because he can help take down a massively influential gang leader.

Atrocitus actually gets along well with Saint Walker, they bonded upon learning that they were both fathers who lost their families.

I'm not really feeling the GL cover. Mahnke's Larfleeze and Atrocitus look fierce, but his art seems a bit rough for the "smoother" characters (the women and Saint Walker). Not that it will stop me from picking up any of these comics.

I'm not quite sure what the deal is with this "Brightest Day" thing (surely they can't be hitting us with another giant mega crossover so soon, so I'm guessing that "Brightest Day" is just a story arc which will function as an epilogue to "Blackest Night"), but if Dinosaur-Lantern is involved, I will certainly be onboard.

And I don't know. I think I'd totally read an ongoing about Larfleeze hanging out with the rest of the them. He might be a monster, but he's a ridiculously entertaining one.

Violet is a shade of purple, but the Star Sapphires are and always have been pink.

Coloring them "correctly" is basically telling us that they are using the SS corp to represent Love seriously and not as a flimsy excuse to have a bunch of hot womb-crazy chicks in pink space swimsuits, and that is a goddamn lie.
