Can anyone list the exact issues of the Negative Zone battles? I mean, the issues where Blastaar took over Prison 42, where Earth found out about it, where Osborn sent cannon fodder to retake the prison, etc.

I don't think he saved anyone, he just took down to enemies because he's the freakin Taskmaster

He's facing two random Asgardians. He was locked with one while they other came at him with an axe. He jumped out of the way (leading to RA #1 taking the axe to the chest), then came down with his sword into RA #2's spine.

He didn't save either, he killed both. He set the axeman up to take down the swordsman, then skewered them with his own sword through the axeman and into the swordsman (Just to make sure)

I assume that must be one HELL of a sword, given the density and durability of any ordinary Asgardian.

She had a chance. She was too afraid that she'd die while trying.

Sorry, but no. I liked the Taskmaster as the guy who WAS smart enough not to HAVE to fight just because he COULD!

Hey, every now and then characters should try to step up, be something more. That's Taskmaster's entire character arc in this issue, him trying to step up his game instead of being the guy who does all the work and gets none of the glory.

I love the fact that he's finally stepping up, finally showing why he's a bad ass. Given that this is Dark Reign's closing act, I doubt it'll last long ;)

Taskmaster already WAS something more, he was the gifted fighter who was smart enough NOT to get into the petty fighting and squabbles, and used those smarts to achieve wealth and fame that no amount of fighting heroes would have gained him. He didn't have anything to prove, now he's just another brawler, even with Asgardians. That's a major step backwards to me.

Read the issue. Taskmaster's tired of being behind the scenes, tired of wondering it he can make the big time. He's got a healthy dose of ambition in him, or he never would have become a villain in the first place.

Always running, never getting his hands dirty just means character stagnation. As long as he's been around, it'd be odd for Taskmaster not to at least try for a little more, try to increasing his standing every now and then. I doubt this arc will end well for him, but I think it's good characterization thus far.

considering his lackies always get their asses kicked, unless he occasionally steps up and shows his skills he should stop getting those customers.

I have to agree with Dan. I'm comfortable with Tasky -- just this once -- stepping out of his comfort zone and doing something that he'd normally think was stoopid as long as he realizes how stoopid it is before one of those Asgardians puts his skull on the end of a pike.

And, let's not forget, in his intros he took on the Avengers.

Dude, you'll never not look like Skeletor.

Which makes these panels WAY FUCKING AWESOME.

Skeletor ripping through people would be awesome.

Oh man, now I'm imagining MOTU with epic, bloody anime-style battles. In a perfect world.....

You know what's awesome? THEY DID THAT. There was some MOTU comic a few years back that showed the origin of Trap-Jaw. He has no lower jaw because SKELETOR PUNCHED IT OFF HIS FACE.
