I just don't understand Diana/Bruce. I didn't even understand it in DCAU. The only JLA members I can see her with are Aquaman, Superman, or Orion.

Honestly I think the appeal is when you have a well written Batman and Wonder Woman its is like two very different people that lead similar lives of sacrifice and dedication to a better world. They are both warriors, as much as Superman is strong, Diana has been shown to respect Bruce more for "earning" his abilities; which makes some sense when you see Amazons as warriors and scholars. Add in that Bruce has the heroism, just a different kind, like Superman, and really is the equivalent of modern royalty, and you start to see better lines of comparison.

Also they're both damn hot.

I don't get why people think that she can fall in love only with some royalty or a warrior with mythological background. I don't really think love works that way.

I don't quite see it either. Diana always reads as tough but practical to me, and Bruce tends to go for more wildly passionate types. They fit better in my head as friends and comrades than they do as lovers.

And besides, everyone knows Bruce's love for Plastic Man knows no bounds.

I think it's really kind of interesting that this is by the same writer who wrote this http://scans-daily.dreamwidth.org/1541348.html. And the Batman!ghostkiss that made WW a Star Sapphire. And WW being a Star Sapphire. What a difference from Wonder Woman: Hiketeia

I'm not even paying attention to Blackest Night, because I find so many of the storytelling choices (Star Sapphire Wondy included) bizarre.

Although tbh, I don't pay attention to Events in general.

I haven't seen much of Bruce/Diana to make me think she is in love with him, seriously, sometimes I think they are closer to Clark than they are to each other.

I have no doubt that Diana and Bruce might have once been attracted to each other (JLA #90) but not at this point, and even if they still were it wouldn't work in the long run. Bruce just has way too much emotional baggage, he is a man who lives with the ghosts of his parents plus he will never fully commit to Diana the way he does to Gotham city and its people. Plus they have different ideals and ways of dealing with their enemies and very different codes of law, just read Hiketeia and the aftermath of what happened with Maxwell Lord. Diana doesn't like killing but she will do it again if there isn't any other options, and Bruce's mantra is "there's always a way" so you bet if they were together that there would be major problems concerning that.

Besides Bruce's heart belongs to Selina, he once told her that no matter what happened he would always love her and IMO no matter what he will always keep coming back to her.

I could see a Batman/Wonder Woman relationship as being very interesting. I think that Wonder Woman would change Bats for the better, as she has a very clear and intelligent way of seeing the world (when written well), as opposed to the emotionally crippled and tunnel-sighted Batman.

The big problem would be that the relationship would have to be on-again/off-again, which would create boring soap opera stuff, or it would limit some of the Bruce Wayne as a billionaire playboy stuff, which could wind up hurting Batman's solo stories.

She was brought up on a island of women who had nothing good to say about men. She never even saw a man until she was 18. Honestly, why would anyone think she would find any man sexually attractive? At that level they must all seem icky to her. I'm mostly straight, and I still can't see it for her.

Depends how much attraction depends on environment and how much on biology (and, of course, the interaction of the two). Humans are tricksy things, and they do not necessarily react to their upbringing the way you would think.

In my opinion, it's entirely reasonable if she does, and entirely reasonable if she doesn't.

What I do know to be true is that if she ever actually ended up with anyone, male, female, especially if it were stated canonically that she had sex with them, there will be a firestorm the likes of which mere mortals such as we could barely comprehend.
