Roger Stern's run on DOCTOR STRANGE began with the introduction of Morgana (one N, not two) Blessing, who eventually became Stephen Strange's girlfriend. Roger Stern himself explains:
"Morgana Blessing was the sort of woman that Doc would have had a relationship with, in his previous career as a high-priced surgeon. She was the Earthly love, in contrast with the ethereal, extradimensional Clea. All the regular readers loved Clea, of course, but the relationship she and Doc had was not exactly an enlightened one. If Clea had just been Docs lover that would have been okay, but shed also become his student, his disciple. It was a case of I love you, Clea. And I love you, Master. And not in a sweet, innocent, I Dream of Jeanie way, either. Not a healthy relationship, not healthy at all."
The first meeting, and a panel from the ILLUMINATI miniseries after the cut.

Roger Stern and Marshall Rogers start their run on DR. STRANGE with issue #48 with Strange and his business manager Sara Wolfe doing some banking.

Next to Dr. Strange is Sara Wolfe. Not Katma Tui. Sara is an American Indian in a 1980s comic, explaining the confusion.

I've always been vague if someone can see Strange's astral form or not, or if it works only when he wants. I know the Hulk can see Strange's astral form all the time. It's one of the Hulk's few non-physical powers, which PAD/Voldemort explained as stemming from Bruce Banner's fear of his father's ghost haunting him.

I *hope* Strange knew the bank had bulletproof windows. Otherwise it looks like he just didn't care about the bullets flying out of the windows.
Hey, there's Morgana!

OK. So Stephen only wanted the robbers to see his astral form, but Morgana did as well. And for some reason walked right into the bank seconds after gunfire.
The next issue, #49, has Morgana calling Stephen up on the phone. Mordo eavesdrops from another dimension, as magicians can do.

As I've posted earlier http://scans-daily.dreamwidth.org/10228 45.html?#cutid1 , Mordo kills Morgana's cat and disguises himself as the cat in her bag.
Here, in DR. STRANGE #50, Morgana meets Strange's friends.

Morgana meets Clea. Girls, you're both pretty!

Stern has a point: Clea being Strange's girlfriend is one thing. Being his student amps the squick factor if she calls him "master."

"Ha ha! You let me right into your Sanctum Sanctorum!"
I thought I'd post two more pages from DR. STRANGE #50, where a little time traveling allow Strange and Morgana to meet Nick Fury and Dum-Dum Dugan circa 1940.

Closest shave ever!
Later on, Strange and Morgana grew so close, they could use their love as a "Care Bear stare" power.

I thought I'd also go into NEW AVENGERS: ILLUMINATI #3 for a moment, since for a long time I thought the fans had mixed up Morgana Blessing with the Scarlet Witch on one page. It looks like Dr. Strange has found himself in bed with a sleeping Clea and Scarlet Witch. Only I thought for a while that was Morgana, not Wanda.
I turned the one panel into an RPG-themed Motivational poster for RPG.net:

This one page from the issue where the Beyonder makes everyone's greatest wish come true. (The stuff about the Beyonder being a mutant Inhuman is more of a 'Screw you' to Jim Shooter according to the opinions of some.)
From the one panel, I thought maybe the woman on the right was really Morgana Blessing. All the fans thought it was the Scarlet Witch, and no one corrected them. Turns out, I was wrong.
As you can see from the full panel:

The headdress on the nightstand shows that it is indeed the Scarlet Witch, not Morgana Blessing. Which really doesn't much that much sense.
Some better reviews of the Illuminati series and why Strange being "into" the Scarlet Witch doesn't make much sense can be found here by Glenn Walker:

Date: 2010-02-07 07:25 am (UTC)Aside from remembering Morgana Blessing as primarily one of many lame attempts to introduce New Romantic Entanglement into the lives of characters who didn't really need any New Romantic Entanglement, why in the name of Cthulhu does it not make sense to fantasize about waking up as the core of a Clea/Wanda sandwich? It's certainly on my short list....
