Another charity box find. I can't remember why I bought this originally, it doesn't seem like the sort of thing I usually pick up, but I'm glad I did! Quite a fun, stupid little story. With lots and lots and lots of cats.

A tiger has escaped in Gotham City and - wanting to fit in with the locals - has already mauled a guard inside out. Some reporter immediately accuses Catwoman of becoming some psychotic cannibal which she isn't too happy about. Enter Catman!


He heads out to find the tiger, naturally Bats is doing the same. I'm posting this next page because everyone's face in it is just AWSOME. Also, don't you miss when burglars dressed like this?

(Also, I don't know if you can tell from that page but the burglar's on a roof. How the hell did the tiger get on a roof..?)

As usual, the day is saved with Batman re-capturing the tiger and Catwoman taking care of Catman, but she still has some unfinished business.

"Catwoman takes care of Catman"? Was he an out-and-out villain at this point in time? And I always wondered why Catwoman and Catman didn't date. I mean, they share a franchise, you'd think it at least would've crossed their minds. Or did they hook up in the 90s?

Yes, IIRC Catman being anything other than an all out villain is pretty much a Secret Six onwards thing.

Catman tried hooking up with Catwoman in one of his first appearances way back when, but was far too much the creepy stalker type for her tastes.

They've never gotten along. He kidnapped her as bait for Batman, fought over some cat-related totem, I think. I'd have to look it up, but something like that.
