Artemis Fowl 2-5 (Butler is bad-ass (again) and Artemis is stupid.)

Holly, Butler, and Root are preparing to storm the Koboi Labs computer center, leaving Mulch to stay safe in a corridor and Artemis down below contemplating his plans to save his father.


Aw, Holly, you're warming up to the Mud Men (humans)! Talking about Mud Men, Artemis is alerted by Mulch's cry for help. Upon crawling up the tunnel of crap (literally), he helps Mulch with some indigestion and nearly gets captured by a goblin. Since Mulch now owes him a favor, Artemis asks him for some help...to get into the computer control room via deactivated plasma conduit.


I love that little guy in the hoodie! As Butler dispenses painful retribution upon the goblins, Artemis crawls blindly through the plasma, nearly suffocating. Meanwhile, Butler's done with the retribution.


Root and Holly have taken down the last two goblin guards before being surrounded. Artemis, against all odds, makes it into the computer center and upon seeing Foaly on a vid screen, he obeys Foaly's directions and hits the conference button.

Run, Forrest Butler, run!

Now, who could that be?



ooh, sucks for you Cudgeon. As Foaly regains use of his computers and takes down the remaining goblins with DNA cannons and knock-out chips, Mulch waves goodbye until the next book.

I think Cudgeon's a bit stupefied, that's the only reason he didn't automatically plug the kid.
