How can one comicbook character outgrow another one? Isn't it always in the way how the actual writer is writing a character?

You know what I liked about this issue? There was mentioning of a Grell Road. Way to make a honorable mention of one of the main writers of the character in the past.

They pretty much had to demote BC to damsel in distress/sidekick in order to make it work. So if they had to "shrink" her to fit her with GA, then it can be said she had 'grown' past him before GA got a hold of her.

But yes, it always depends on the writer. I just know that I, and many others, appreciate the Black Canary that didn't have to be changed to make this marriage semi-plausible.

While the art is atrocious, I can't help shaking my head at the choice of Dinah's underwear. Those panties look ridiculously uncomfortable. Artist fail, I think. If she took one step, they look like they'd ride straight up between her cheeks. To be fair, underwear like that isn't designed to be worn for long periods of time, *cheeky grin*, but you'd think the artist would've put her in a thong, and been done with it.

Am I overthinking that?

I would hope it means "I have no ridiculously deep psycological issues and am unlikely to accidently kill you with superpowers." sex. Or it means having sex the same way non-superheroes have sex. Those are about the only non-offensive ways I can construe it, though.
