From the Superdictionary!

This is El Dragon. El Dragon is awesome.

And modest, too.

He's a rather laid back guy.

But not afraid of action when necessary!

Of course, the girl isn't the only one full of bounce!

Of course, when he says "ready to go..."

Hasta luego, mi amigo.

"West" means "late afternoon sun". Boy, have I been using it wrong. Also, yay superdictionary!

Out of curiosity, what is that El Dragon seems to be saving that child from? An oversized piece of burnt toast?

And don't you love how smugly he's stopping the elevator with his mind? You can see he's thinking to himself, "Damn I'm good."

Hey, you probably have to push a button to make an elevator stop on your floor. Like a PUNK.

IIRC he can control electronic devices with his mind. I think.

I adore El Dragon.

In my happy little comic-fantasy world, he's Earth-Education's greatest hero.

Earth-Education is comprised of the Cracktionary, that superhero health cookbook thing someone posted here awhile ago, the Bat-math book, and those learn-to-speak-Spanish-with-Superman books. :D

And also, everyone speaks like they do in the Cracktionary. They never speak normally.

That 'bringing joy to the masses' panel is pretty nifty. All hail El Dragon!
Also - 'the SECOND day of the week'? I always thought of Monday as the FIRST day of the week, given that, y'know, Saturday and Sunday are collectively referred to as 'the weekEND'. Does El Dragon know something I don't?

Well, sure, they're ARRANGED that way (I'm American, yes), but I always thought it was simply logical that Monday was the FIRST day of the week. I mean, that's when students go back to school, workers go back to work, etc., not to mention that it's the day right after the weekend, i.e, 'the end of the week'. Things start up on Monday, go 'til Friday, slow down on Saturday, stop on Sunday, when things shut down for a day, then start right back up again the following day when Monday rolls around again. It only makes sense that Monday would be the first day of a cycle.

It depends on how you think of the weekend. Personally, I think of it as being two days, not one (or three, if you consider Friday to be part of the weekend, but I don't). It's not a day, it's a block of time - and anyway, it's called the weekEND, not the weekbeginning. That's the central thing for me, the name. It describes its function in the week perfectly - it ends it, and then Monday starts things over again. If it was meant to begin as well as end the week, it wouldn't be called the weekend - it'd be something else.

Well, yeah, I suppose this is one of those arguments that could go on forever...
