Coolest Team-Up Ever?

But does anyone know what this is from? I just came across it trying to find more information or scans of this intriguing X-Statix character. Plus, it's nice to see Wanda when she wasn't so darned crazy with the whole killing Avengers, boning Clint, and wiping out most of the mutant population (not to say I didn't like any of that, I did). Seems though she might be coming back soon as a Secret Avenger, so here's hoping.

I would love to see more Dead Girl. Her character concept always seemed so cool to me, plus she had an interesting power set. However, I understand she died of a disease which was never explained, as she was already dead.

I've always liked Wanda. I can understand where she felt totally justified to do what she did.

I actually really liked where they took her character. I know a lot of people didn't but those on the internet usually seem to hate any change (yet clammor for it in their own desired forms). I am looking forward to where they take her.

As for Dead Girl, I think she would be quirky to bring back somehow. maybe as an Avenger's Initiate, or fringe X-group of some kind.

But then, I also want Lifeguard and Cecelia Reyes back in action too.

Deadgirl kinda came back in a Doctor Strange/Deadgirl mini, where she was his guide through the afterlife. No explanation was ever given for what killed her, other than the simple fact that nobody gets out of X-Statix alive.

Yeah, but then again they still have yet to explain why Mockingbird was there too when she was apparently alive and in space.

You really weren't seeing Mockingbird's spirit, you were seeing the spirit of the Skrull or whatever it was that was taking her place. It liked being Mockingbird that much, yea even unto death... and beyond!

All my X-Statix books are inaccessible at the moment, but my guess is this was when X-Statix and the Avengers guest-starred for about 3 or 4 issues. Dead Girl was paired up with Scarlet Witch, Anarchist with Iron Man, Orphan with Captain America. (Unless I got those last two mixed up.)

This issue is specifically X-Statix #22, but the whole series is fantastic!
You might also want to look into the X-Statix Presents: Dead Girl mini-series they put out a bit after the series was cancelled (i finally got my hands on a copy of the trade last week)!
