In honor of Black History Month, I thought I'd celebrate by showcasing a few of my favorite black superheroes (and supervillains) from comics and/or other fandoms with comic tie-ins.

And if you have any favorite black characters from comics or other fandom that you'd love to showcase, then by all means post lists and/or pics in the comments. I would love to see your selections.

Okay let's see.

The guy with the helmet was Orpheus. He was killed by Black Mask during the Gang War. Onyx was his right hand. The woman above John Stewart is Dr. Martha Jones from Doctor Who. And the brother with the snake is Tusla Doom who is an anti-hero and occasssonal villain of both Conan and Red Sonja.

The pink haired chick is Max from Batman Beyond (she was basically Terry's Babs/Girl Friday)
