Lois's line about trying to cope with Clark always flying off by thinking of him as a doctor or firefighter on call...remind anyone of something? Yep, Lois's tearful complaint, toward the end of Superman II, which leads Clark to give her an amnesia-inducing superkiss to spare her the pain of a relationship with him:

"It's like being married to a doctor!"

After my parents and I saw the movie when it first came out, my mom jokingly told my dad she could identify with Lois.

That first bit is great. The second one...on one hand I kind of feel cheated that they covered that in captions and not in dialogue, but maybe it's the sort of thing that's better left to the imagination, or maybe they just wanted to give Clark and Lois their privacy.

Are you kidding? If this were written today, there'd be six issues of conversations with 32% of the panels repeated, then at the end Lex Luthor would swear vengeance... in a six-issue arc about why he hates Superman and his secret childhood trauma.
