It took me a reeeeeaaaally long time to figure out what this was about, even with the "genderflip", "schoolgirl Alan Moore" and the tags as context clues. I suppose I'm kinda dense but some accompanying text would help. Drawing a girl and calling her Alan Moore is pretty amusing, but doesn't really do it for a genderflip. The Neil Gaiman one (I'm guessing from the tag) is pretty cute though. The hair fits a little better there....

If the artist could set his compulsive fanservice aside for a second and draw Alanette in a long, sort of shapeless black dress (although leave it sleeveless--I've seen a few pics of Moore in a sleeveless T-shirt, so that's OK) and make the rings bigger, it would work better. Throwing a bowler on (if you've seen his wedding pics you'd get it) would work, too. I still wonder what Moore thinks of it if/when he sees this.
