That's why I liked Scarecrow in the Arkham Asylum video game. He's actually scary. If Bat-Barb saw that version she would have filled up her Bat-tights in FEAR!

But instead we get Scarecrow in a puffy A.I.M uniform minus any head protection.

I thought he looked pretty good in the Arkham game, as well. I especially like the Freddy Kruegeresque glove he had on with the syringes full of the fear serum a lot because it's harder to fight in close combat with someone who has a hand full of needles and also because a vast majority of people have that fear of needles, so they'd probably be wetting their pants the second they saw him.

And he had that yellow glow as if he had one of those Sinestro Corps rings on him. And the fact that he kept tossing Bats in that world where he was a giant ScareZilla also upped his scarefactor(tm).

Oh, I agree. When it comes to skilz, you gotta hand it to the super-acrobat-martial-artist-detectives. When it comes to sheer stubborn bullheaded will to get off the ground despite all odds, I think Steph ranks up there!

While I like the idea of Scarecrow not relying on fear gas, the guy needs to think of actual other ideas.

He did in a two-part storyline in Detective Comics I believe, where he decided to prove he was a Master of Fear, and after breaking out of Arkham, he sets out bringing fear to Gotham City.

First he starts killing people at random, and leaving the bodies where they can easily be found. Then he puts up dummy scarecrows nearly everywhere, night after night, which frightens the populace with the idea he can go and kill anyone he wants, whenever and whenever he wants.

In short, he goes from a one-shot gimmick of fear gas to more elaborate Terrorism methods. And it works.

The guy is a master of psychology, with an expertise in fear. Writers needs to remember this.

That was actually a really good storyline. If I weren't so lazy about scanning stuff, I'd probably get around to posting it one day.

He didn't even have fear gas in the beginning. Just a gun and "queer grasshopper leaps" and fighting skills.
Other stuff he's used over the years are blinding ray, panthers, trained killer birds, robotic killer birds, knife, removal-of-fear-gas and some crane martial arts. It's not untill (relatively) recently he started relying entirey on the gas.

He should have at least cut a jack-o'-lantern mouth into it or something. As it is, he reminds me of that time when Spidey drove off the symbiote for the first time, and was left naked and had to improvise.
