So, in response to this thread and subsequent posts by [personal profile] benicio127 on Jason Todd and [personal profile] icon_uk on Dick Grayson, I thought I'd add a few scans of Tim Drake for comparison purposes along with a couple more of Jason. I hope they don't mind me butting in.

Tim's been in form since he was young, apparently. Three panels from Batman #457, Grant/Breyfogle/Mitchell/Roy.

These next scans are from DC/Marvel All-Access #2 of 4 (Marz/Guice/Rubinstein/Loughridge) "starring Jubilee and Robin". Thus Jubilee's also in most of them, wearing a form-fitting X-uniform. Tim's also quite a bit older here.

That's from the cover. Guess why I bought this issue? :D

And here's Tim in a traditional Gotham-vigilante pose, on a rooftop at night in the pouring rain.

Another Gotham vigilante pose: jumping off one rooftop onto another at gravity- (and camera-) defying angles...

...and landing very ably. Well, maybe except for Jubilee...but (perhaps) as it could be expected, she's not hurt. Instead she seems ready to do it again. :)

Together, they take down the villain:

Those thighs aren't bad either! :)

Now here are some Jason scans. Onyx is also in them.

From Batman #640, Winick/Lee/Smith/Sinclair.

And just to finish things off (and for the community's enjoyment), here's some Babs as Batgirl. Scans are from Batman #511 - the (a?) Zero Hour issue, Moench/Manley/Rubinstein/Roy.

Hope you enjoyed them! :)

No one can say that Dick has no competition, anyway. Lots of lovely thighs.

Hopefully no one starts a batdickery week, but with the second to the last scan, you are ready.

And I love your icon! I don't know how new it is, but it's the first I've seen it and TBC <3!

If that second-to-last scan is from Zero Hour, I kind of know the context. An AU Batgirl showed up during the crosstime shenanagins, where Jim Gordon answered the door and was shot (and killed) by the Joker, rather than Babs. This Babs continued to be Batgirl. I would guess that when she showed up in the main DCU, Batman might see her and think she's someone other than Babs in the costume. And as that issue of Harley Quinn showed, a non-Bat-family member running around in Babs's costume is a sore point for them.

Lots of lovely thighs.
Truly. All that running/jumping around after villains can sometimes work wonders for the body! :) And what better way to show it off than in spandex? :P

It does work as an context-free Batdickery scan, doesn't it. [personal profile] bariman hit it on the mark, though - in the issue, time is in flux and it's doing weird things all around the city, including bringing in the AU Babs who is as confused by what's going on as Bruce and Tim are.

Thanks! I've had it since last November; I asked TBC (who is <3, absolutely) for it - and another one of Steph and Cass together - when she made her Batgirls post. First time I've really used it though, so I'm not surprised you haven't seen it before. :)

Wow, TBC manipulated the original image to make those... :)

Heh, I also love TBC and Steph and Cass. So much that I asked for this commission (scroll down to see #2).

The thing about Jason, is he's all about the pants, you know? I can see why he gets the thigh focus.

I'm still not convinced, it's like he's a Robin who's ashamed of his legs (A concept which should give the Universe pause) so hides them in ugly grey trousers....

Yeah, see that's the thing. I think Dick would look great in pants (of course) but I picture him in the slim, not-so-tight pants when he's dressed. When he's suited up, of course, it's all about the spandex or bare legs. This look is Jason's--probably another one of those ways to stand out against Dick.

It's scary how much I've thought about this without even realizing it.

Mmmm. Like the jeans we've seen him wearing in some scans when he's just chilling with Donna or Roy (or both!) or whoever, usually from the Titans (and/or New Teen Titans) era (IIRC). *happy sigh*.

This look is Jason's--probably another one of those ways to stand out against Dick.
Interesting point! Could we say he probably thinks "well since I've worked for them (thighs/legs/whatever), and now that I've got them, I might as well show them off?"

Not ashamed of his butt, though (see second Jason scan). Actually, in the third scan you can sort of see some muscle definition...so I guess it's more about tightness of said trousers (which is what I think [personal profile] sistermagpie is getting at) rather than length.

Onyx was most recently seen training with Cassandra Cain/Batgirl, in Blüdhaven during the events of Batgirl: Kicking Assassins.

How apropos!

It's really hard for me to pick a Robin I love best either physically or personality-wise. They're all wonderful.

Thanks for balancing things out a bit!

They so are! Although I admit to knowing a great deal more about Dick and Tim than about Jason and Steph-as-Robin...and I do think Damian makes it easier for us *not* to like him rather than the other way around.

No problem! I've been looking for reasons to post bits of the comics these images are from anyway, so it was great to be able to do so finally.

Why... or better yet, HOW, is it that Jubilee is a love interest for Robin. I mean, I can see it working, but I mean, physically, on pages within comics how did this happen?

The crossover event "DC/Marvel - All Access". There's a guy called Access who sort of lives between the DC and the Marvel Universe, and where he is, the barriers of space and time between the worlds grow very thin, and characters can wander from one into the other. Robin and Jubilee met and developed an attraction. usually, when Access move on, memories are wiped about the other universe.

He also has the power to fuse or "amalgam" any two characters into one new one, who believes that they have always existed. As a result of the Events of All Access, Robin and Jubilee were amalgamated into "Sparrow", the pyrotechnic powered sidekick to the Batman/Wolverine Amalgam Dark Claw

Basically, what [personal profile] icon_uk said. In this particular issue of All-Access, Jubilee asks the character Access to take her back to the DC-verse because she wants to see Tim again. She apparently remembers the events of (a) previous crossover(s) because she kept a diary. :)

Definitely want (and need) more love for Tim. He was my first comic-book-crush. I started collecting "Robin" when I was 16, back when Dixon was writing the title, and Tim was just so pretty. Anyway.

Awww! :)

Being pretty is probably a requirement for being Robin by now. Although I wonder, where would that put Damian? Being Bruce and Talia's kid can't hurt in that department, and with Alfred helping to make his wardrobe choices he ought to smarten up (at least clothes-wise) soon.
