Black Lantern Batgirls, Batgirls in Class, Wondy/Lois/Selina and a page from Batgirl #7

A while ago, schmevil gave a prompt for Black Lantern characters. I sketched out a Black Lantern Spoiler and a Black Lantern Cass and Steph Batgirl immediately, but have JUST gotten around to inking and coloring.

I also bring you our three Batgirls (Babs, Cass and Steph) in class together- inspired by a panel from Batgirl #1. Finally, a Wondy/Lois/Selina slash comic (safe for work) annnnd a page from Batgirl #7.



EAs we all know, in universe, Steph's death was fake. But Steph WAS supposed to be ded for realz at the end of War Games, until DC backpedaled for us angry fans. So here's a BL Spoiler!



Cassandra did legitmately die and come back to life though, like, twice. She would make an awesome Black Lantern. So here are our Black Lantern Batgirls in a perfect zombie picture.



I had a weird little idea about all my Batgirls in class together after reading Batgirl #1. Babs is being a nerd, Cass is encountering a learning barrier, and Steph is bored and doodling (hence the idea coming from Batgirl #1). I added the stripes and symbol to Steph's outfit after her costume was unveiled, so it was a lucky break I drew her in a T-shirt over long sleeves to easily mimic her costume. And it could not be more obvious I used Batgirl Y1 as reference for Babs.



And finally, a Lois/Diana/Selina comic I wrote in response to all the Bats/Wondy and Supes/Wondy shipping I was tired of over at CBR. bluejaybirdie says she's gonna color it and make it shiny, hurray! But for now, you get the messy sketch version. And yes, it could not be more obvious I used Black Cat for reference with the...first kiss.




And now, a Batgirl #7 page that made me say hell yeah!!



Damn straight indeed! <3 I'm so glad Miller gets Steph so well. The girl ain't that great at master plans, but she is good as hell at thinking on her feet. :)

Cass's costume is funny because it needs no changes to become Black Lanternized. It already has that whole "black and scary" thing the BLs have going.

I'm not sure if I like the idea of BL Cass. For one thing Black Lanterns are more often than not mouthy little buggers who like messing with the heads of their opponents and I just can't see that working out so well with Cass.

Though I'm surprised there was no Batgirl Blackest Night tie-in. With a Black Lantern of the girl that everyone thought was Steph trying to kill Steph.

Yes! That's what I was thinking too. Ah, poor Jean-Paul and Cass. They were so cute together. Hopefully someone will rescue them from comicbook death/limbo and give them a good home.

The Lois/Selina/WW is great. I'm not sure I've seen that threesome in a fan fic -- INSPIRATION!

But my favorite is Babs, Steph and Cass in class. Perfect! Seeing Steph in class reminds me of Dinah. I hope they get to hang out a bit now that Dinah is back with the Birds.

Well, I don't want to go there with BL Steph or Cass. Very happy to just say Wargames never happened Steph never was ded. But I like BL!Spoiler, she looks like she's dancing -- Not even Nekron can change our Steph's personality. XD

Babs in school looks like an apple-polishing teacher's pet. :)

Hee hee! I love Lois' fuming, the 0.0 expressions during Selina's kiss, Selina's ♥.♥ expression during Lois' kiss, and Diana's kick! XD Not to mention that Diana towers over her new girlfriends. :)

I LOVE the Batgirls in the classroom art. Babs being nerdy! Bat Math! Doodles! All win. :D

Also, the Wondy/Lois/Selina comic made me grin. Love Lois' fuming, then her surprised look as Wondy kisses Selina; Selina's "cannot believe this" face, then her post-kiss expression; and of course, the last panel. Very much looking forward to the coloured version for more goodness! :)
