Is it just me, or does the whole "sharing the issue with Captain Atom" thing knock the drama out cold?

"The world is being attacked by a Kryptonian God! And now, here's Captain Atom, who apparently has some problems of his own. . ."

Don't get me wrong, the Captain Atom story is interesting, it's just the placement that's off. Unless Lois is calling Captain Atom, which would just be ridiculous.

Ok, that*s a pretty neat character bit. Lois Lane: She's got everybody's number, even especially yours.

How that woman doesn't have her own ongoing yet, I'll never know.

If they ever do another DC vs. Marvel crossover, it would certainly be fun to see Lois Lane and Ben Urich team up.

It would be funnier to see Lois pimp-slap Sally Floyd!

Oracle's general awesomeness notwithstanding, I'm sure the world's greatest investigative journalist can figure stuff like this out on her own.

Probably not, she literally has everyone on her speed dial. When she needed help with Chris she just called up Dr. Light. I doubt Simon Stagg is the kind of guy who put himself out for anybody so I'm thinking Lois called Sapphire Stagg (Metamorpho's wife/girlfriend) to arrange things. Lois is Superman's wife, she's the most connected civilian in the world, even when Oracle herself quasi-attempted to blackmail her (in Birds of Prey) Lois knew she was the one holding all the cards. Not to mention the fact, as everybody knows, she's the better journalist in that marriage.

This is partly why I think Lois is one of DC's greatest heroines and the idea she hasn't even been given a one-shot since the Bronze Era mini-series is mind boggling.

But now that she doesn't have to trick Superman into marrying her anymore, what can they possibly do for plot?

Trick him into getting her pregnant. Trick him into leaving the toilet seat down. Trick him into doing the dishes. Trick him into getting divorced.

Trick him into getting divorced

That is brilliant. Also, regarding tricking him into leaving the seat down, Lana shows up to spoil the scheme in an overly elaborate way that involves dressing as a little boy and a Rube Goldberg machine.

He could find out about her scheme to get him to do the dishes. He gets back at her with an even bigger scheme involving Arm Fall Off Boy, the entire Metropolis PD, and Jimmy Olson dressing as a nun.

Maybe it's just the influence of your icon, but I might actually buy that. Especially if you can work Fruit Boy in there somehow.

It could be the icon. But it's more likely that you've seen enough silver age crack to realize that what I said could have easily been a real comic (guest staring Fruit Boy)!

Ooh, dang, I forgot to pick this up today. This woman is one of my all-time fav characters. She's so very much an excellent example of a strong, modern woman that *gasp* isn't a total bitch. I love how competent she is, totally able to keep up with the super-set, and still so charmingly normal on her own, if that makes sense. (It's very late/early in my time zone, sorry.)

Also: I love how noisy the second scan felt. And did you notice? Not one sound effect. Gorgeous, emotive pencils on this.

...but by the gods, I'm in love with kick-ass reporter Lois Lane. And it's really hard *not* to be, quite frankly.

The portrayal of the Web here seems a bit off. In his own series, he has one of those old-school secret identities that put the emphasis on "secret." The Web and John Raymond have no association with one another, as far as the public's concerned.
