I loved this issue and loved the issue of Red Robin. I'm not sure which one I liked better. Maybe Batgirl! So hard to choose, they were both pretty awesome.

Speaking of, something I'm strangely unclear on - were Steph and Tim having sex in their previous happy-phases of their relationship? (My impression is, not, but I could easily have missed something. I came on board with Steph fandom after she "died.")

Actually, I've read a lot of Tim/Steph stuff and I don't think they've ever had sex. They did do a lot of making out, though.

I only think Steph had sex with Dean and got preggers. I would bet Steph's only had sex once.

I remember some panels where Tim mentions to Babs that Steph was pregnant. Babs was surprised, and was curious if Tim was the father. His answer was like Not guilty. Not even a suspect.

I dunno about their relationship after the pregnancy, though.

Tim is still the pre-requisite chaste comic hero and the only one of the main 4 YJ members (Bart, Cassie, Kon) who is still a virgin - which is ironic considering how many times over the years he's had the opportunity to hook up with girls (and never did).

While I hate hate hate the art, I've got to say, I LOVED the story and the way they handled the Tim/Steph aspect of it. Red Robin wins for me however, just because the art is so much better than the Batgirl art.

Word on the art. To's art on Red Robin is so much crisper and better than this it's not funny (which isn't as lousy as some of the art previous Bat-books have suffered through, mind you).

I kinda thought the begining of Teen Titans vol 3, where Kon is getting out of the pool and Tim drops in to talk to him...was pretty tense and sexual...at least one of them was mostly naked.

I find it funny that they went for the va-va-voom look for Steph in Batgirl, while in Red Robin she was like she was going to church. Misaimed target demographic, much?

Heh. I loved Red Robin more, definitely. In her own book, she was tagging along after him and didn't do a whole lot beyond a little fighting and getting a message back to Babs.

In his book, that cough belongs to Prudence, who sticks a gun in Steph's face, Ra's assigned her the assassination of Batgirl. Time slows down for Tim, but Steph moves and Pru goes down with a bloody nose and the gun drops into Tim's hands. Tim is way impressed. Squee! Steph is also the one who detects the bomb that takes out Tim's safehouse, another point for Steph. Heh, I also like in RR that Steph mentions Tim kicking her in the stomach, something that has bothered me for a long time.

She gets him back in her own book because she zones out during the fighting while thinking about Steph/Tim history, taking down assassins on autopilot until WHAM! Ohcrap! Sorry, Tim!!1! Well, Tim, now you're even for the kick in the gut. XD

Kara will always be codename "Bluebird" like Bruce or maybe Cass will always be "Blackbird" to me from now on. :)

Oh, I totally agree with all of this.
As soon as I saw the preview of Red Robin, I hoped I was going to see Steph kick Pru's butt and Tim be all: Holy Shit! And that's exactly what happened. I was very happy to see that. It was really nice to see Tim finally own up to his assholeness and go back to being regular sweet Tim.

The only thing is that I've been loving Batgirl right from the start and Red Robin wasn't really doing it for me until either issue 8 or the last one. It's finally really started to come into its own, but I still felt like I had to give major props to Batgirl.

Batgirl's been such a great title that I recommended it to a friend who is just getting into monthly comics.

Well, in the ish, when they locate Leslie at a fancy dress thing and realize Tim Wayne can get in, Tim breaks them into someplace in the garment district for clothes. So I guess they just lifted (ha! I kill myself!) appropriate lingerie to go with the dress while they were at it.

All I know, and this is from my friend who rps as Tim, is that Tim took on the Wayne name after Bruce adopted him. That's the best explanation I have.
