Each of these issues has two stories, and, much like the backup in Fall of an Avenger this week, the one here isn't done by Jeff Parker, but by Paul Cornell, with art by Leonard Kirk.  Our jokey premise is Venus, now Goddess of Love, is giving out romantic advice.  One letter:




The song causes someone in the audience to faint.  After recovery ("It'll take him a few minutes to get used to walking like that.), she resumes her job:




Yeah, I'm starting to wonder whether Aphrodite wasn't better-suited to this job.

You know how some comic artists supposedly draw the figure naked first, then erase the naughty bits and draw the costume in? Yeah, I'm pretty sure that that's what happened here, except not fully completing the erasing part.

I missed where Venus takes over the reigns for Aphrodite. Can somebody post it? I'm not even sure which issue that was (so I have no idea if it's even possible for someone to post it, given the page counts).

In that particular case, I think it's more like she's perplexed enough by Hulk's letter that she decides to just throw something random out there so that she can get on with things.
