Greeting True Believers! Here are a couple of scans from Dark Avengers #15. The Tower is under attack and Bullseye takes the opportunity to take care of something/someone. Spoilers and enjoy.

Suggested Tags: char: bullseye/hawkeye, group: dark avengers, title: dark avengers, event: siege, publisher: marvel comics, creator: brian michael bendis, creator: mike deodato

This takes place during the Siege: The Cabal one-shot.

Doom and Norman are fighting in the Avengers Towers, the building is being evacuated and Bullseye takes the helicopter that Lindy (Sentry's wife) is one. After a previous Void-event, Norman tells Bullseye to kill Lindy because of her effect on Bob's mind.

Bullseye flies her out over the ocean.

Bullseye talks about a "frumpy woman married to an almost-god". He talks about the amount of ass Bob is missing out on.

Lindy gets a first-class ticket to big fridge in the sky.

Bullseye returns to Avengers Tower after the battle is over.

Bobs freaks and goes Void. Norman calms him down and Bullseye is all "Why would I do that? You could kill me in two seconds."

Lian, Lindy, anyone else need to be fridged? Why not Northstar's BF? Why the f*** not, right?

Seriously, Lindy got the most raw deal in MU. Marries a junkie who becomes a schitzophrenic, super powered psycho with infinite power who locks her up and exposes her to god know what and then this.

*sigh*

You can't really "fridge" Lindy Reynolds. This is the third or fourth time she's died on panel, to the point where it's theorized by fans that she isn't her own independent entity.

Hell, she killed the Sentry herself a few issues ago.

Is that a fridge? Considering that the one getting an emotional moment out of this is not a hero?

On the other side, it IS used only to push Sentry over the edge...I am confused @_@

The "fridge" thing is such a problematic concept for me for stuff like this, because, well, Lindy is a supporting character in the Sentry's story. She only exists to facilitate whatever's up with him. At this, pretty clearly, Siege is the Sentry's final meltdown, hence, the world definitively coming apart for him.

Harsh, but probably a better fate than the continued ordeal of being in anything Sentry-related.

Not to sound like I don't get it or anything, but doesn't anybody miss the days when Superheroes usually managed to save people from meeting this type of fate...

I know this pretty much had to happen, to wreck Sentry for Siege, but the way the moment was drawn out in this comic just felt a bit gratuitious..Like the author was revelling in showing the horror of Lindy's sad fate just a bit too much..

I'm kinda glad Dark Avengers is ending as it's feels like the novelty's really worn off now, and reading issues like this make me feel like I need a shower afterwards..

...And what I wouldn't give to have Logan or Frank Castle take Bullseye out of the picture permanently. He's a villain I really wouldn't miss if he was taken out of the picture now. Sentry/Void should have given him the Carnage treatment!

Yeah. I'm not sure why transitioning right from grabbing her by the neck to her being thrown out of the helicopter wouldn't have gotten the point across just as well. I suppose lingering could have been to show that Bullseye is enjoying the moment, but we already know that this guy gets his kicks from being a bastard.

Worse, he doesn't know it's a "we're all dead because Bullseye jumped the gun" face.

Having just read this and the new SEIGE, I want to see everyone on Osborn's side dead and Osborn himself cleaning prison latrines with his tongue by the time this is done.

And the Sentry? I'm glad this happened. It means he'll be gone, and soon. Tick tock, tick tock.

Do you believe that every death of a female supporting character is fridging? How is this gratuitous in context?

I felt sad for Lindy. I hardly think how she feels, or her humanity as a character, is being slighted here.
