Ever notice how some people like to praise folks for having the courage to "do what's necessary", but they only do it when "what's necessary" is killing or torture?
Look for instances where these people praise the moral courage necessary for forgiveness, for restraint, for making hard choices about long-term planning and building. Look for them to praise the moral courage of the dedicated pacifist, the honest journalist, the compassionate judge. You're in for a long search, I fear.
