I'd say maybe they're in a guest room so she wouldn't cough all over him, but he's Superman. She isn't getting him sick.

Because Clark has super-restless leg syndrome, causing him to super-kick the crap out of Lois in his sleep if they sleep in the same bed.

Also Clark's bed is made of Kryptonian materials which he cannot possibly break. And while his super-firm matress would seem like a block of granite to Lois, to Clark, it feels downy soft.

I'ma be honest, I don't get the cycad joke. I mean, if she'd followed up his "it's extinct" with "well then I guess you'll be looking for a while," or something to that effect, then I would get what she's doing, there. Or even if she'd just left it as "I know," and let the implications of the impossible task speak for themselves. But the way the dialog plays out, it seems like she was just saying it to set up for her complaint that she feels like she's dying, or that there's some significance to the gender parallel, or... I don't know, something. It's awkward.

Lois' expression after Clark's "kind of dull" is EPIC WIN, however.

they should have spaced the word balloons. Then they could have had it both ways, by setting up the impossible task thing. And the next one be "and speaking of extinct thing."

Apparently, whiny!Lois really likes throwing things at his face. Me love.

Now, did they really need to paint and furnish the whole apparment to make it match his costume? Even the sky is turning yellow to go with freaking blue and red walls!

This struck me as a fairly strong 80 page giant and one of the stronger anthology titles in a while. I liked that there was a lot of "How Superman affects ordinary people" and basically no super villains (a couple pages of Bizarro, the insect thing, and a picture of Toyman.) And the Why Metropolis? gag was great.

Totally unrelated, but necessary question: how long was this particular story? Because you've put 4 pages up, and the 1/3 rule applies to stories rather than issues; if it's less than 12 pages you'll need to take something down.

10/3=3 1/3 pages. It's probably easier to just drop one page than 2/3 of a page.

This is cute!

I like the "caring but utterly useless" husband routine (man, if they ever figure out pregnancy, he's going to be the panicking type isn't he?). The Superman version of this routine's just all the more cuter ;)

Awww!

See, this is why I read Superman titles. Couldn't give a damn about most of his lame villains, I just want to watch the farmboy bumble around with his wife, mom, best bud, and alien dog. And also sometimes play Laurel and Hardy with Batman. And Lex Luthor in a bathrobe.

They should just rename the comic "some good-looking guy in glasses is clumsy and adorable and also there's pie."

In conclusion... CLARK YAY!

The art is adorable.

Is the main reason Lois and Clark haven't tried for a baby, because of his Krypton biology?

*ahem*

In addition to adoption, Lois and Clark are totally forgetting the existance of Kon-El. He's kinda sorta Clark's son geneticly speaking, and he's proof that human and Kryptonian DNA can get put together into a viable living being, at least with a lab. So go dig up Project Cadmus and have them make a few embryos and get with the babies already.

I thought what made Kon special was that the human donor was the only one to actually work with Kryptonian DNA?

Also, Myx said they'll be having a daughter at some point (Rucka wrote the very cute issue) after they weather "the tough times".

There was also the late unlamented Cir-El/Supergirl who was supposedly a daughter of Clark and Lois from the future that was really made by the evil Futuresmiths from some DNA of Lois's from a coffee cup IIRC (really!),

1. The artwork is awesome. I need to get that trade.
2. Clark totally wants kids.
3. Lois and Clark would make fantastic parents. Chris is proof of that.

I want to see batman rub in it to the other two.

"Diana, Clark, guess what? I totally have a kid! I didn't even know! It's wild, I mean, I don't ever really want one. Guess I really DO have everything, hahaha. So, what's new with you guys?"

I love Clark in this story.

He's being a snarky little bastard, but it doesn't come off as out of character, it comes off as teasing Lois. (Who can totally take it, even if she's being a pill right now.) It's nice to have someone who can write something between 'stick up the butt' and 'obnoxious jerk'.
